Description

A New Jersey performance by Gang War, a super band formed by Johnny Sanders and Wayne Kramer, recorded in a good mono audience recording! A treasured recording of Gang War, a super band formed by Johnny Sanders and Wayne Kramer! A live performance held at First Lane in Asbury Park, New Jersey on December 1, 1979, recorded in a good mono audience recording! The sound quality is average for that time, but the vocals and each part are recorded in a well-balanced manner. In addition, the deviation of the position caused by the master has been carefully corrected. Johnny’s condition is uneven depending on the day, but on this day, the condition was very good and the combination with Wayne was excellent! Starting with the instrumental number “Courageous Cat” from the Dolls era, he also shows off his best vocals and guitar on the Stones covers “I’d Much Rather Be With The Boys” and “You Can’t Put Your Arms Around A Memory”. And especially noteworthy is that they play the rare original number “King Of The Gypsies” from the Gang War period, which was included in Johnny’s “Too Much Junkie Business” released on cassette tape in 1983, and Brooklyn-born female singer Joy Ryder participates as vocalist and chorus on Great Big Kiss and Do You Love Me. They also play “If You’re Going To The City”, which was only played a few times in Gang War! This is a rare number that Wayne later released as a solo artist, and it is truly one of the best performances ever! Fast Lane, Asbury Park, New Jersey, USA December 1,1979 01 Tuning 02.
