Frank Zappa/Unreleased Album US Tour 1981

Among Zappa’s many unreleased works and albums, one that is particularly highly regarded and difficult to obtain is the unreleased album “Chalk Pie,” which contains live tracks from his 1981 US tour. In the past, it was unofficially released in 2003 by an independent label called “Zappa Fan Trust,” but it disappeared from the market in an instant. This title is a direct CD reprint of that phantom live album, and all 14 live takes are of official quality and stereo soundboard. Including the title track “Chalk Pie,” it contains live recordings from the Salt City performance on December 7th of the same year, some of which were previously heard in “Mystery Box” and “The Guitar,” but all of them are now difficult to obtain.
