Fourplay/Spain 2017 Jewel Version

Formed in 1990 by four great players, Bob James on piano and keyboards, Lee Ritenour on guitar, Nathan East on bass, and Harvey Mason on drums, Fourplay quickly became a popular band in the jazz fusion world. They released three albums by the mid-1990s, and in 1997, Larry Carlton, who is equally popular with Ritenour in the fusion guitar world, took over as the second guitarist. They continued to work energetically after that, releasing their 10th album, “X” (featuring Michael McDonald as guest) in 2006, and a valuable archive recording from that same year is now available! This is a live DVD of the new Fourplay, featuring popular saxophonist Nokirk Whalum. It was recorded when they performed at the San Javier International Jazz Festival held in Murcia, Spain in July 2017. Please note that there are some slight sound cuts.
