Description
“25TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR” was the last tour with Lou Gramm, marking the 25th anniversary of his debut. The out-of-print video that conveys the story has been decided to be reprinted. What is included in this work is not one show. This is a detailed reproduction of the official work “ALL ACCESS TONIGHT” compiled from various shows of the “25TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR”. It took about 12 years from the time Lou returned to the team until he left the team again, but the journey was not smooth sailing. It is also a time that is not often neglected, so let’s check the position of the 25th anniversary tour from an overview of those 12 years. ・1992: 15 performances *Lou Gramm returns ・1993: 41 performances *Fifth visit to Japan realized ・1994: 37 performances *“MR. MOONLIGHT” released ・1995: 49 performances “MR. MOONLIGHT TOUR”・1996: 45 performances “CAN’T STOP ROCKIN’ TOUR” ・1997: 2 performances *Lou suffered from brain tumor ・1998: 42 performances ・1999: 59 performances ・2000: 55 performances ・2001: 3 Performances・2002: 104 performances ←★Coco★・2003: 4 performances *Lou Gramm leaves again This is the 12 years that can be called the second Lou era. Lou continued to be active, visiting Japan for the fifth time and releasing “MR. MOONLIGHT,” but in 1997, Lou developed a brain tumor. Although he returned to the stage the following year in 1998, the shows continued to be in poor condition for a while. In 2002, Lou made a comeback. The group held a 25th anniversary tour with a triple-digit number of performances, making it the largest since their peak in 1985 (105 performances). As a result, Lou will leave FOREIGNER again at the 25th anniversary milestone, but it was a huge tour that will be the final beauty. This work, which was born from such a 25th anniversary tour, is an official work, so it is natural that it is of official quality… but it is actually unique. It’s intensely raw. “NOBLESVILLE 1993”, which was released at the same time, was carefully crafted to look like an official work, and the video work was as if all the songs were PVs, but this work is the complete opposite. It has been assembled from numerous shows, and a lot of effort has been put into inserting scenes from other shows into the songs. However, the audio is what is called a “desktop sound board”. Normally, official works are multi-recorded from a mix desk on-site, and then made into works through overdubs, remixes, mastering, etc. However, the sound of this work does not feel like such a “polishing process”. The sound quality is excellent, but the cheers are far away and the mix is extremely rough. The stereo sound board that feels like it is on site without any processing is super realistic. Of course, these characteristics are not bad. Especially for enthusiasts who love raw leaked soundboard boots rather than polished official sounds, the real thrill of being able to synchronize with the performance without considering the presence of the venue is irresistible. The 25th anniversary set, which condenses the glorious history, is depicted in such realistic quality. Let’s organize the contents here. 6-person era numbers (8 songs)・FOREIGNER: Long, Long Way from Home/Cold As Ice/Fool For You Anyway (★)/Feels Like The First Time・DOUBLE VISION: Double Vision/Hot Blooded・HEAD GAMES: Head Games / Dirty White Boy (★) 80’s numbers (4 songs) ・4: Urgent / Jukebox Hero ・ AGENT PROVOCATEUR: That Was Yesterday (★) / I Want To Know What Love Is *Note: “★” marks indicate simultaneous releases A song that can’t be seen even in “NOBLESVILLE 1993”. …and it looks like this. As mentioned above, the official video “NOBLESVILLE 1993” immediately after Lou’s return will be released at the same time this week, but the scope of the album is the same. You can clearly see how these five pieces are the essence of FOREIGNER. However, it’s not exactly the same, and you can enjoy famous songs such as “Fool For You Anyway” and “Dirty White Boy.” It is truly a golden greatest hits that is suitable to decorate the final beauty of the Lou era. This work concludes with the gorgeous version of “I Want To Know What Love Is” from “NIGHT OF THE PROMS” performed with an orchestra and a huge chorus. Not only did it mark the band’s 25th anniversary, but Lou Gramm left FOREIGNER after completing a gigantic tour that was at its peak in 1985. This work is a fantastic official video that allows you to experience such final glory in ultra-realistic quality. As I have been repeating for a while, not only “NOBLESVILLE 1993” immediately after Lou’s return, but also the authentic Golden Age pro shot “LIVE IN GERMANY 1981 & 1985” will be released at the same time. These three works are also the pinnacle images of the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. Simultaneously releasing 3 of the best professional shots that will allow you to witness “Lou & FOREIGNER” that will never come back. (90:23) 1. Intro 2. Long, Long Way From Home ’95 3.
