Description
The legendary professional shot that symbolized their first visit to Japan in 1977 has been upgraded! The original master boasting unprecedented visual beauty has been newly excavated. The legendary footage was shot at the “December 5, 1977: Nippon Budokan” performance. It is a multi-camera professional shot. Their first visit to Japan was realized during the peak of the “RUMOURS” era. First of all, let’s explore the position of this work in the glorious journey. 1977 February 4th: Release of “Uwasa” February 24th – April 1st: North America #1 (14 shows) April 2nd – 26th: Europe (15 shows) May 1st – October 4th: North America #2 (54 shows) November 6th – 23rd: Oceania (9 shows) November 6th – December 5th: First visit to Japan (4 shows) ★Here★ December 10th: Hawaii show 1978 April 2nd: Young Music Show broadcast July 17th – August 30th: North America #4 (17 shows) This is the whole picture of the “RUMOURS Tour”. The main tour ended in October, and then they took a month off and entered the Pacific Rim (Oceania / Japan / Hawaii) edition. This was the first time they went to Oceania as well as Japan. The Nippon Budokan performance of this work was a highlight concert in the Pacific Rim edition. The big band, which was in the midst of a big hit, made its first visit to Japan, and the pattern was broadcast on TV on a certain broadcasting association’s famous program “Young Music Show”. It produced many existing groups and became a symbol of the first visit to Japan. In our shop, the master expanded with the footage that was leaked afterwards has become a standard as part of the three-disc set “BUDOKAN 1977 FINAL NIGHT (Uxbridge 1229)”, but this work is a new excavation master that is different from that. It is an air check master provided by a recordist, but its quality is the highest ever. As it is the original, it is natural that there are dubbing marks inside, but the quality of the recording itself is excellent and there is no deterioration over time. Until now, even good quality ones would fade white, and momentary twisting and instability could not be avoided, but this work does not have that. The darkness is full of jet black depth and the color is vivid. And yet, there is no unnatural feeling like digitally raising the highlights, and even the fine details are clearly preserved. And the freshness of the master is transmitted from the sound. The beautifully arranged sound has a glossy noise, and there is no sound drop or left/right channel disturbance that was unavoidable with conventional masters. It is as if you are watching the broadcast at that time as it was. Such a beautiful image revives FLEETWOOD MAC’s… No, it is a legendary program that was also a symbol of Japanese Western music history. There are several other broadcasts with different song selections, but this work is the “April 2, 1978” broadcast version. Let’s organize that set as well. Rumors (3 songs) Go Your Own Way (★) / The Chain (★) / Songbird (★) Others (5 songs) Fantastic Mac: Monday Morning / Rhiannon / Over My Head (★) / World Turning 60’s: Oh Well Note: The “★” mark is accompanied by a Japanese translation of the lyrics. …And so it is like this. From the full set on the day, “Fantastic Mac + Rumors” was about half and half, but in “Young Music Show”, the balance was concentrated and reduced. In “World Turning”, you can enjoy Mick Fleetwood’s percussion solo perfectly. And the performance, which is full of momentum, shines even more because it is about 45 minutes long. Stevie Nicks, who is said to have had a cold at the time, was also moving around in the monitor, and Lindsey Buckingham was still playing. The sense of fulfillment that has risen to the top of the scene bleeds out and overflows from the screen. Even so, I miss the program’s unique lyrics subtitles. For fans who know that time, and for those who followed it with admiration, this special program is engraved in the soul more deeply than “Rumors” itself. This work is a new excavation master that updates the best quality of such a legendary program. A piece that brings back memories of the past with increasing intensity. A multi-camera pro shot of the performance “December 5, 1977: Nippon Budokan”. This is the first air check master provided by a core record enthusiast for the legendary program that symbolizes the first visit to Japan. The quality of the recording itself is excellent, and there is no sign of deterioration over time. The darkness is full of jet black depth, the color is vivid, but there is no unnatural feeling as if the highlights were digitally raised, and even the fine details are clear. The program’s unique lyrics translation subtitles allow you to experience the nostalgic legendary special program at the highest quality ever.
