Fishbone is a mixture band formed in 1979. After releasing Chim Chim’s Bad Ass Revenge in 1996, they changed members, but for a while they were not signed by a record company. This is a great show that seems to explode with dissatisfaction, recorded on a Colorado performance on May 14, 1999 with the highest quality soundboard recording by the people involved! There are elements of rock, punk, and ska, but here it is more funk, and moreover it is full of ultra-aggressive P-Funk manners, and you will want to dance. The masterpieces of Me And Pa and VTTLOTFDGF, the funkiness of Bonin’ in the Boneyard that made Prince’s 1999 thrilling, the cheerfulness of Housework, and the playing of Lyin’ Ass Bitch, which Prince also sampled in Billy Jack Bitch, are amazing, and this is a killer set of Fishbone right up to the final Party at Ground Zero.
