Description

Released excavated sound source from the Faces’ 1975 American tour, which has become a hot topic among enthusiasts around the world. In this year, the group’s final year of activities, they toured the United States twice, but this time they recorded amazing quality sound source from their first tour, which took place from February to March. . From this tour, high quality Odins recordings called “PROVIDENCE 1975” and “SEATTLE 1975” have been released in the past. Both have very excellent sound quality, the former with the exquisite sparkling clarity that is typical of Dan Lampinski recordings, and the latter with the solid monaural sound quality typical of JEMS sound sources. Each was an audience recording with excellent listenability, but this time’s sound source has an exceptional quality that easily surpasses them. After all, right after it appeared, the sound quality was so high that there was a lot of discussion among enthusiasts that it was a sound board. Even if you are not a maniac, you will be able to guess such an amazing Odins recording, and even if it is recorded at the LA Forum. Yes, the sound source that appeared this time was recorded by Mike Millard. The sound image was so intense that you could easily mistake it for a sound board. What’s more, the period in which it was recorded is interesting. This sound source was recorded on March 5th, but three weeks later, Millard was recording Led Zeppelin’s three days at the LA Forum. Those were also excellent sound quality, but the high level unique to Millard is so high that the original sound source that captures the stage of the late Faces is extremely high. And the sound source that appeared this time is a first generation copy, so it is in perfect condition. However, it seems that the pitch was lowered when copying from the master, and this point remained neglected even when it appeared on the Internet. Therefore, when releasing it, we naturally adjusted that problem. We have also made fine adjustments to the sound quality to make it even more perfect. After all, it is a superb sound source that can be mistaken for a sound board, but there is no trick to just putting it on a CD. Moreover, the splendor of this sound source is not only limited to the sound quality, but above all, the performance is outstanding. By this time, it had become commonplace to include songs from Rod Stewart’s solo albums in addition to the songs from the group’s last album, “OOH LA LA,” which was a big hit for the group. As history has proven, this resulted in a rift. However, in 1975, the group was in a terminal state, with Ron Wood, who had released his first solo album “I’VE GOT MY OWN ALBUM TO DO” the previous year, adding songs from that album to his repertoire. It is easy to see that. Still, the stage every day continues to be a rock ‘n’ roll show typical of the Faces, and it’s hard to believe that the band’s lifespan is less than a year even if you take one on this day. Two items had already proven this point, but an even more wonderful live performance was recorded due to the strangely on-sound image of this mirrored sound source. What is noteworthy is that, unlike Providence and Seattle, strings are added to “Bring It On Home To Me / You Send Me”. It is well known that a string player was included when the Faces performed the same song at the Kilburn Theater in 1974, which is a classic video of the late Faces, and in 1975, a string player was also included on the final tour in Boston in October. It has been confirmed that he was included. However, with the appearance of this sound source, it has become clear that strings, who appear to be local musicians, have been adding color to the performance here at the LA Forum. Not only is the song an R&B song that shows Rod’s true potential, but the band as a whole is also wonderful, giving us a wild and fast-paced performance throughout. Tetsu Yamauchi also exploded with fuzz bass during the solo turn at the end of “Stay With Me.” The enthusiasm for the Jimi Hendrix cover “Angel”, which had been played on stage for some time and was recorded on the live album “COAST TO COAST” the previous year, was amazing. Unfortunately, this was the end of the band’s life, but from the quality of their performances and the enthusiasm of the audience, it can be said that this is a valuable document that shows that the Faces’ popularity had reached its peak. Here is the Odins album that represents Faces in 1975, a sound source that has the best sound quality and performance without any price tag! (Remaster Memo) ★ Fixed a rather slow pitch. ★Although the sound quality is high, the bass in certain ranges is harsh, and the overall separation can be improved, so we made adjustments to make the whole sound clearer.
