Description
The now legendary 1983 “ARMS Concert” to support the late Ronnie Lane. And the fact that Beck, Page and Clapton performed together also made this charity live a big topic, and the whole picture of this charity live has been compiled with master quality and pro-shot footage as a memorial edition 20 years after the death of Ronnie Lane. First of all, in addition to the three major guitarists, the old British auteurs from the Stones to Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman, Joe Cocker and Paul Rodgers gathered together, and among the two performances in the UK and nine in the US, all four performances with pro-shot footage were recorded. First, disc:1 records the performance at the Albert Hall in London on September 20th for 112 minutes. Each part of Clapton, Steve Winwood, Beck and Page, and at the end, the three of them come together to session “LAYLA”. The following discs 2 & 3 are 2 hours and 40 minutes of the second show at the Cow Palace in San Francisco on December 2nd. Joe Cocker and Paul Rodgers are also featured here, and in particular, Paul Rodgers’ vocals during Page’s set led to the later formation of The Firm. Disc 4 is the 108-minute third show at the Cow Palace on December 3rd, and discs 5 & 6 are the December 9th show at MSG in New York, and as a bonus, the Faces reunion live show that was realized as an encore at Rod Stewart’s Wembley Stadium show in 1986 is also included. In addition to Ron Wood, Ian McLagan, and Kenney Jones, Bill Wyman also participates, and Ronnie Lane, who was battling illness, also appears, and the moving scene of him sitting on a chair and singing chorus is a precious video taken from a source filmed by an MTV crew. This is a permanent collector’s edition that allows you to enjoy a total of 9 hours and 23 minutes of this dream collaboration between these amazing members.
