Description
We will release a valuable FM radio master from the 70’s! Edited to 78 minutes for broadcast on King Biscuit Flower Hour (KBFH), a music program in the 1970s that quickly broadcast live recordings of artists and was enthusiastically supported by rock fans across the United States.76 This is a live sound source from 2007 and 1978. JEMS acquired the master, which was kept by WABX, a local radio station in Detroit at the time, as an archive. The Krw_Co transferred it and uploaded it on the internet. It is originally a wonderful stereo line recording, and the quality is guaranteed, but our store has upgraded it. In addition to correctly correcting the pitch, it has been remastered to expand the stereo range. Furthermore, as stated in the online text, they were recorded in the order of 1978 to 1976, so I replaced them in chronological order from 1976 to 1978. Therefore, the main version is once again a much higher grade than the original sound source on the internet, and the content is easier to listen to. Originally, these sound sources were broadcast as individual sets on KBFH in the same year, and later, songs from the two years were excerpted and rebroadcast. This sound source has been a famous sound source that has been recorded in many bootlegs since the analog era, but it is a great attraction for rock fans to listen to the master owned by the radio station again now. The 1976 part was a promotion for the album “NO REASON TO CRY”, and the 78 year part was a US tour to promote the album “SLOWHAND”.They were held on November 15, 1976 at the Dallas Convention Center, Edited from the February 11, 1978 concert at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. At that time, Clapton was accompanied by an American backing band and was establishing his own “Clapton music” that brought British shades and pop sense into the laid-back American sound. In the first half of the 1976 part, the only number from the album is Sign Language, but the others are a selection of his favorite blues and representative songs. In particular, Layla, which can be heard here, has a 12-minute composition with a drum solo and percussion solo in the middle, and it is a passionate performance with a Latin style similar to Santana. Clapton’s play is also crisp, showing that he is a super guitarist. In the second half, the 1978 part, 5 songs from the album “SLOWHAND” are selected. Thanks to this kind of promotion, this album became a huge hit, reaching number 2 on the US charts, and once again you can hear wonderful performances that fully emphasize the excellence of the songs. The three songs, Wonderful Tonight, Lay down Sally, and Cocaine, are still signature songs that cannot be missed at Clapton’s concerts. In other words, this album can be said to be the best live compilation that packs Clapton’s “delicious” parts from the 70s and can be easily listened to on one CD. There are parts where the DJ’s voice overlaps with the intro of the song, and this atmosphere is typical of American FM radio in the 1970s. If you listen to it with that in mind, I think you’ll feel like you’ve slipped back in time. (Remaster Memo) All except Lay Down Sally are low, so I adjusted the pitch. Although it is a high-quality stereo line recording, the range seems a little narrow for the times, so I equalized it to widen it.
