Description
The Ginger Baker Tribute Concert, hosted by Eric Clapton, was held in London on February 17th. This concert was held in memory of the famous drummer Ginger Baker, who passed away on October 6th last year, with whom Clapton formed the legendary supergroup Cream in the 1960s and spent their irreplaceable youth together. I collected them and opened them. This is a complete concert DVD with high-quality audience shot footage that clearly shows what happened on stage that day. This edition is a unique original complete recording version, in which we carefully selected the best quality videos of each song that were uploaded to You Tube immediately after the concert, and edited and stitched all the songs in the order in which they were performed. Interviews and play scenes from Ginger’s day that were played on the screen at the venue before the performers appeared, and Clapton’s memorial comments that followed are also recorded properly at the beginning. Then, after the appearance of gorgeous guests taking turns, the encore performance by the all-stars was recorded without any trouble. The venue, Eventim Apollo, was a theater-class hall with a capacity of about 1,500 people, and the stage was very close to the floor seats, and most of the footage was shot from the floor seats, so Clapton Fortunately, the first performers are captured quite large and the quality is very easy to watch (Presence Of The Lord is shot from the second floor seat, but it seems like Clapton is stepping on the wah pedal. can be clearly seen). As for the audio, the shooting positions were close, so each song was very clear and of high quality. Looking at this, it seems that filming with smartphones was free on the day, and the appearance of the audience holding smartphones was also captured here and there (I am envious compared to Clapton’s performance in Japan). Although it is an audience shot, the camera is clearly aimed at the lead vocalists and the musicians playing solos, so it is an excellent video that you can really concentrate on and not get bored. Although it is possible to watch the concerts one after another on You Tube, this edition, which has been arranged in the order of performance, is a highly rewarding video work that allows you to easily enjoy the concert. As it was a memorial concert, the appearance of Clapton playing with a Mercedes blue Strat in a black suit was dignified (I guess he thought it inappropriate to use the frivolous painted model he used at the Crossroads Guitar Festival). This is an excellent video title that is sure to have any rock fan’s eyes glued to the screen from beginning to end. EventimIM Apollo, London, UK 17th February 2020 (86:01) 1. Introduction 2.
