Description

From Clapton’s first tour of the year, the short-term Asian tour, the fourth performance in Hong Kong and the fifth and final performance in Seoul, Korea, are coupled with a very good, superb level, ultra-high quality stereo audience complete recording source. Both performances use the master that appeared via the Internet, but for the Hong Kong performance, the original sound that was overly equalized has been moderately remastered to achieve a more natural sound that is easier to listen to. The range around 4KHZ, which was extremely lowered to suppress the sound of the applause of the surrounding audience during the song, has been raised, and the mid-range that was raised too much has been returned to the optimal level to adjust and reduce the excessive applause after the end of the song. As a result of giving the mid-to-high range a natural bulge in this way, the sound quality and sound image have been transformed into a dynamic sound that is easier to listen to and incomparable to the original sound quality and sound image. The large hiss noise has also been mitigated, and it is a surprising sound for those who only know the image of the original sound. For the Seoul performance, the sound source was originally recorded with a very clear and good sound balance, but the problem of the divide point between songs has been eliminated, and the overall sound image balance has been further improved. In terms of the concert content, the regular set songs were the same for both performances, but the solos played ad lib by Clapton, a live artist, showed completely different expressions even for the same song, so you can enjoy listening to them and comparing them. From this tour, the old number “Same Old Blues” from J.J. Cale’s 1974 work “OKIE” was set. From the new album “CLAPTON”, three songs “River Runs Deep”, “Rocking Chair”, and “When Somebody Thinks You’re Wonderful” were set, recreating the taste of the album. Other highlights include the emotional solo in “Old Love”, the breathtaking speed playing in the ending of “I Shot The Sheriff”, and the royal road playing that silenced the audience in “Before You Accuse Me” and “Little Queen Of Spades”. In addition, despite being an acoustic set, “Layla” was played in an electrically “plugged” and “unplugged” version, and there were various highlights. It was also fun that the encores were different for both shows, and the energetic “Crossroads” and the dignified “Further On Up The Road” were both equally good. The excitement of “Cocaine” is now common all over the world. This album combines the performances of Hong Kong, the third in Clapton’s career, and Seoul, the fourth, which were both described as the best performances of his career, and is one of the best performances of this year’s Asian tour. This is an excellent piece in both sound quality and content. This is the appearance of a high-quality set that represents this year’s Asian tour.
