This album was produced directly from the overseas bootleg “Jamming With Eric Clapton & Carlos Santana”, which was a very good stereo audience recording of the Niagara Falls performance on June 23rd from the same 1975 US tour as “L.A. FORUM 1975”. It was a very popular bootleg overseas at the time, as it recorded only the best parts of the tour, the opening and encore of the tour that started enthusiastically with Layla. Although it is far from a complete recording per LP, the sound quality is amazing above all, and is comparable to modern standards. With this sound quality, you can fully hear the passionate playing of Clapton and the band even with Layla alone. In addition, Eyesight To The Blind, which is over 18 minutes long and occupies most of the B-side, Clapton’s ally Carlos Santana, who was the opening act on this tour, jumps in and develops a suffocating interplay with Clapton. This heated performance, which can be called a guitar battle, is one of the best of the tour, and is worth listening to just for this. A drum and percussion solo is inserted in the middle, and the Latin mood jam fueled by Santana’s participation is just like “Carnival in Rio”.
