Description
From the 2004 tour, this is a superb audience shot of the Columbus performance on July 12th, recorded with very accurate and good camera work from the American tour after the European tour. Although the opening number Let It Rain was missed, and during the second song Hoochie Coochie Man, the security in the venue was about to find out and the shooting was interrupted (audio is included), the quality after that is excellent. Most of the shots are properly capturing the screen in the venue from the front. There are occasional audience shots of the second floor stand and slightly left of the front that switch well. In other words, it is a video skillfully finished with a two-camera mix. The screenshots are essentially professional shots, and they do not distort or shift. There are beautiful stage shots mixed in, making it an easy-to-watch quality that does not get boring. When it comes up, the clear image quality of Clapton, who is covered in sweat all over his face, is clear, and the color does not fade due to the lighting in the venue. What I want you to see in particular is Clapton’s “abnormal” groove on this day. It’s a series of amazing plays that feel too groove. The moment that seems to have triggered it was captured. After the guitar solo of Walk Out In The Rain, Clapton’s eyes were drawn to the front of the audience, and he smiled and waved his right hand. This is a very rare scene, as Clapton usually looks straight ahead and does not respond to the responses of the audience at the venue. Is there any maniac who got it here? This performance was in Columbus, Ohio. In other words, it was the hometown of Clapton’s young wife, Melia, whom he remarried in 2000, and the town where her parents live. It’s just a guess, but perhaps Melia, who was visiting her hometown, came to the venue with her eldest daughter Julia, who is 4 years old, or perhaps Melia’s family members came with her. When Clapton noticed this, he couldn’t help but smile and wave his hand. Clapton’s anger, aware that his family members were watching, becomes amazing from here. The vocals of I Wanna Little Girl are wonderful, and the aftertaste of I Shot The Sheriff is accompanied by a tremendous playing action that seems to be “writhing”. Here, the venue shows a strange excitement. This first half is already decided. After that, you can enjoy Clapton’s groove to your heart’s content. After the sitting acoustic set, the exchange with Doyle in Got To Get Better In A Little While is also amazing. And the raging Layla. For the encore, Robert Randolph, who was the opening act, jumped in and added color with steel guitar. Although there are some flaws in the beginning, this video is very enjoyable.
