Description

A set of the best audience shot footage and high quality audience recording master from the 4th day of the 2024 European tour at the Royal Albert Hall! From Eric Clapton’s latest 2024 European tour, which took place from May to June this year, we recently released wonderful multi-cam audience shot footage of the first, second and third days of the performances at the Royal Albert Hall in London on May 20th, 21st and 23rd, but this time, we will also release a wonderful video of the final day, the 4th day. This video is a high quality multi-cam footage as well as the other days. There are two main angles. First, there is a shot from the stand seats directly to the right of the stage, which can be seen from the beginning, and the other is a great shot from a little to the left of the front of the first floor floor seats, which appears halfway through. It is an excellent angle that would have been good to record completely from this angle, but it seems that it was impossible to hold the camera up from start to finish in this position. Therefore, the shots from the right side are mixed in exquisitely, and there are cuts where only Clapton’s Strat is super close up, which is a unique composition of multicam. All the shots have no obstacles in front, and are of very high quality, so you won’t get bored of watching this day. Furthermore, it is a high-quality stereo audience recording with amazing sound. The multicam switching also skillfully crossfades the images, and the audio uses high-quality sources throughout, so there is no change in sound quality due to camera switching. It is recorded with really beautiful image quality, good sound, and impeccable excellent quality. And this time, we have also obtained the master of this replaced high-quality stereo audience source! It is an impeccable, clear, and sound-balanced master, and the sound quality exceeds that of the 4CDR “Royal Albert Hall 2024 3rd & 4th Nights” that we have already released. Therefore, by coupling with this superb video, we have also planned a set that allows you to enjoy this day perfectly from both the visual and audio sides. You can enjoy the video alone, but we hope you will add this work to your collection as it is also an excellent live recording. The editing of the video is as amazing as ever. On this day, Clapton wore a white shirt, a gray jacket, and jeans of the same color (the jacket looks navy blue in the close-up shot of the guitar, so it seems that it was actually navy blue). He also plays the Stratocaster painted in the colors of the Palestinian flag that he used at the “SAVE A CHILD Concert (For GAZA Children)” charity concert in support of Gaza last December (the video has already been released on DVD in our shop). The great appeal of this tour is that the set list was significantly changed from the previous year’s tour, and many rare numbers are set in from newly written new songs. Fans will be very happy just to be able to watch the latest tour stage with this high-quality video that has just appeared. The only change in the band members is that the keyboard has been replaced by Paul Carrack, and Tim Carmon, a familiar member of the Clapton band, but the rest is the same as last year’s tour. Therefore, the encore number has changed from High Time We Went, which featured Carrack in recent years! Surrounded by reliable and talented members who perform a solid performance, Clapton is showing a very fulfilling performance, including a surprise. The set list was different from the previous three days, so you can enjoy it alone on this day. On this day, the opening scene was recorded from the entrance scene to the ending of the encore song, and there was no greeting scene with all the members, but it is a wonderful video that was recorded perfectly as before. If you have already seen the footage of the first, second, and third days of RAH, you already know the high quality of this video. If that’s the case, this work is also a must. Please watch it. Set list and highlights & listening points that are different from the previous three days As expected of Clapton. Even at the age of 79, he started the tour in good health and showed a wonderful stage every day in his hometown of London! Moreover, instead of the same set that has not changed in recent years, he changed the set list, including a surprise. The opening was surprising first. This instrumental song, titled Blue Dust, was dedicated to Jeff Beck, who passed away last year, and was a variation of Blue Rainbow, which was first performed at a Japan concert in April of the same year! It’s amazing that he was already working on a variation of a new song that hadn’t even been officially recorded yet… This alone shows Clapton’s vigorous creativity. Moving to the acoustic set, the title number from the 2005 album “BACK HOME” was played, Back Home. This song was also a super rare song that was only played at the beginning of the 2006 tour. Perhaps it also contains feelings for the people of Gaza who lost their homes. And surprisingly, there were daily changes in this acoustic set! The first acoustic song was Driftin’ Blues, which was not played on the second day. The first song after returning to the electric set was the powerful Dominos number, Got to Get Better in a Little While. It was also featured in the aforementioned “SAVE A CHILD Concert (For GAZA Children)” for the first time in a long time, and Clapton was able to enjoy a dynamic performance for the first time in a long time, so it is thought that he set it in. Sonny Emory’s outstanding stick handling is also wonderful here. The camera is also pointed at his drum solo scene after the break in the middle, and it is captured properly. What’s interesting here is that all this time Clapton is looking down, entrusting himself to Emory’s drumming and keeping the rhythm, but when Emory stops the solo unexpectedly early, he turns around and smiles at Emory as if to ask, “Is it okay?” It’s a heartwarming moment that can only be seen with the video. Also, it was only after watching the video that I realized that in the previous three days, he had been playing a navy Strat until the end of this song, but on this day he only used it for this song, and after that he switched back to a Palestine-colored Strat (the reason is unknown). Then, after dropping Presence of the Lord from the Blind Faith era that was played on the first day, they played You Were There, just like on the second and third days. This is a dramatic number from the 1998 album “PILGRIM” that expresses gratitude to the manager at the time. This song was only performed live once in the past, as an encore at Earl’s Court in London on October 15 of the same year. It has been 26 years since then. The highlight is Clapton’s dramatic solo in the postlude. And in Little Queen Of Spades, Clapton had played his solo with his fingers, which was unusual the day before, but on this day he returned to playing with a pick as usual. You can see a lot of things in the video. Just when I thought there would be no more surprises, Nathan East played a song called Close To Home by Lyle Mays as a prologue before Cocaine as a special production. And there was still another surprise at the very end. For the encore, Andy Fairweather Low, who was the opening act the previous day, also appeared (his solo was also featured). From this, you can see that the artist Clapton made the set list for this tour while thinking about many things and many people. Of course, the desire to play is the most important thing, but it seems that he also wanted to perform with his own feelings. A lost best friend, a world of constant war, an admired bluesman, his career so far. This set list and this fulfilling live performance are the result of various thoughts that came to Clapton’s mind. Although Golden Ring was not played on this day, please enjoy the video and audio of the wonderful performance on the final day of the Royal Albert Hall consecutive performances, which was the highlight of the tour with the best performance and the best angle.
