Description

This week, we have prepared a video item for the first day of Eric Clapton’s latest London performance, CD title “Royal Albert Hall 2017 1st Night”! This is an excellent 91-minute complete recording of the first day’s performance, shot from start to finish without any obstacles from the front row of the second floor seats. In other words, we are including a video version of “Royal Albert Hall 2017 1st Night”. The great thing about this video is that it is not only completely recorded with a tripod firmly fixed and completely shake-free, but also that the stage set is just framed at an angle overlooking the entire stage. Although Clapton is occasionally zoomed in, the basic idea is that the recording was made without any trouble while maintaining this panoramic shot. In the acoustic set, where the stage set is beautifully produced, the whole is held down and zoomed in at an excellent timing. Therefore, it is very easy to watch, and you can feel the reality as if you are watching with opera glasses in this seat at the Royal Albert Hall. As for the sound, there is some echo due to the unique structure of this hall, but it is recorded very beautifully. How was the reggae arrangement version of Bell Bottom Blues, the surprise song prepared for the first day, performed? How excited was the venue for Badge and Cocaine, which were said to be the highlights of the day? What was it like when the performance became a little awkward after Doyle Bramhall II’s solo on Cocaine? Was Clapton really in good health? This video will clear up all the questions that are difficult to understand from the sound alone. You can also see Clapton stepping on the wah pedal. The stage set for this performance was a horizontal row of 12 plasma screens on the background, with various effects projected on them. This video captures all of that. You can see perfectly what kind of effects were used for each song. After the show, Clapton hugs each band member, expresses his gratitude, and comforts them. And when he bows to the audience with his arms around the members, he stands on the far right, not in the center. Usually, a big name artist would say, “I’m the star. Leave the center free.” But Clapton doesn’t do that. He’s grateful to his bandmates, he respects them, and he stays in the corner. This is why Clapton has been loved by musicians and staff for so many years. This video makes us realize this again. This DVD will make you feel as if you were actually watching the opening night of Clapton’s latest Royal Albert Hall performance. Live at Royal Albert Hall, London, UK 22nd May 2017 (90:57) 1.
