Description
From the unprecedented “24 NIGHTS” performance achieved by Eric Clapton in 1991, the latter two days of “Blues Night” will be released on 6 CDs from high-quality sound sources including completely unreleased masters! Recorded are the 4th day of “Blues Night” on February 27th and the 5th day of Blues Night on February 28th. On both days, we are using the original audience master, which was completely unreleased until now, and which we obtained directly from the recorder himself who lives in the UK. In addition, the soundboard source is the same master as the monaural soundboard source that was recorded as the sound source on February 28th on the previously released edition “SLOWHAND MASTERFILE Pt.19”, but this time, it is , the higher-level master has been obtained and remastered. (As a result of comparing and verifying the sound with the audience masters from both days, it was determined that it was the sound source from the 27th.) The sound quality of the original master, which was biased towards the mid-high range, was balanced by emphasizing the low range through our mastering. This release has been upgraded to have a more solid and stable sound. Audience masters can enjoy the full picture of the stage on the 28th, which will be the first appearance, because of the spacious and clear stereo recording. The sound quality is slightly degraded for the two Johnny Johnson numbers, but the sound is very easy to listen to throughout the entire album. On the 27th, you can listen to and compare the two masters of the sound board and audience. On the soundboard side, the sound field is monophonic, so you can feel the narrowness of the sound field, but the clarity of each note from the instruments makes it very easy to listen to, and the audience feels clear and very spacious. It has a certain sound image, so there is a lot of realism. The tape change part that was in the original master on both days was not affected by the performance, so there was no problem at all, and it has been processed as smoothly as possible to avoid any discomfort. Anyway, the quality of the original master is high, and you can fully enjoy the middle part of “Blues Night” with just this, but by adding a soundboard master to it, you can enjoy the clarity of each instrument and the detailed playing nuances. We have made it so that you can feel it. Complete recording of all masters exceeding 2 and a half hours. Moreover, the performances of Clapton, Jimmie Vaughan, Albert Collins, Robert Cray, and Buddy Guy are all impromptu play exchanges, so comparing the listening of the same number on both days will be most attractive. Of course, even in the encore number, which is played by all-stars and everyone has a solo, everyone is playing with improvisation. This accidental density is content that you can’t miss even one day during the six days. Following the already released “VOLUME 1” which contains the first half of the schedule, please listen to the newly released “VOLUME 2” and “VOLUME 3” together, and listen to Clapton’s play that bursts out in “Blues Night”. I hope you enjoy it.
