The concert on February 18th, the first day of the 13 consecutive nights at the Royal Albert Hall in London in 1996, was recorded in full for 2 hours and 22 minutes from the DAT audience master, which was recently made public by the owner. First of all, the set list and song order were rearranged for each of the 13 consecutive RAH performances this year, and inherited the flow of the “Nothin’ But the Blues Tour” that he had been working on until the previous year, with many blues numbers set in, and of course his own representative songs woven in everywhere. It was also around this time that he set up a sitting-style acoustic corner in the middle of the live performance. And on this first day, the first half was a series of hit songs, and in the acoustic corner, he also performed “Circus” and “My Father’s Eyes”, which were not yet released at this time, and in particular “My Father’s Eyes” featured a clarinet solo, and was arranged completely differently from the version recorded later on “Pilgrim”.
