The best audience shot video of the Lucca Festival performance on the final day of the 2024 European tour has appeared! A wonderful audience shot video of Eric Clapton’s appearance at the Lucca Festival in Italy on June 2, the final day of his successful 2024 spring European tour, has now appeared! The best sound quality audience source of this day has been released as “Lucca Summer Festival 2024: Definitive Master”, but we will release a video that complements it and makes this performance even more enjoyable. The main angle is from the front of the ground seats (around the third row from the front!), a position slightly to the right of the front of the stage, capturing Clapton in a close-up. This angle alone is great, but a close-up shot of the screenshot is inserted here, and also includes an aerial shot of the festival venue, a panoramic view of the venue, and a close-up of the audience seats, including the opening. In addition to the variety, the angle switching is not awkward at all due to the wonderful cross-fade processing. The sound is also stable from start to finish, as it is synchronously covered with a very good stereo audience source (a different source from “Lucca Summer Festival 2024: Definitive Master”). The ending is recorded completely, and it is a masterpiece of quality that can be said to be almost a professional shot and an official live video work level. Please enjoy it. Clapton’s look on this day was casual and youthful, with a sweat hoodie, jeans, a long gown-like coat, and a baseball cap. He was wearing a supporter on his right hand, perhaps due to pain caused by rheumatism. The dates for this European tour were as follows (the title of the release is written after the venue). May 9th Utilita Arena, Newcastle, U.K. May 11th M & S Bank Arena, Liverpool, U.K. ← “Liverpool 2024″ May 13th Resorts World Arena, Birmingham, U.K. May 16th 3Arena, Dublin, Ireland May 18th Co-op Live, Manchester, U.K. ← “Manchester 2024” May 20th Royal Albert Hall, London, U.K. ← “Royal Albert Hall 2024 1st & 2nd Nights”, “Royal Albert Hall 2024 1st Night(DVDR )” May 21st “Royal Albert Hall 2024 1st & 2nd Nights” May 23rd “Royal Albert Hall 2024 3rd & 4th Nights”, “Royal Albert Hall 2024 3rd Night: The Video” May 24th Royal Albert Hall, London, U.K. ← “Royal Albert Hall 2024 3rd & 4th Nights” May 26th Accor Arena, Paris, France ← “Paris 2024 (4CD + DVD)” May 27th Accor Arena, Paris, France ← “Paris 2024 (4CD + DVD)” May 29th LDLC Arena, Lyon, France ← “Lyon 2024 (2CD + DVD)”, “Definitive Lyon 2024” May 31st Festival De Nîmes, Nîmes, France ← “Nimes 2024: The Video” June 2nd Mura Storiche, Lucca, Italy ← [Here] “Lucca Summer Festival 2024”, “Lucca Summer Festival 2024: Definitive Master”As you can see, most of the performances’ audio and video are released at the earliest possible time. This is where the video of the Lucca performance comes in. The appeal of this tour is that the set list has been changed significantly from last year’s tour, and many rare numbers were set in, from newly written songs. There is no doubt that both maniacs and fans would have wanted to hear it as soon as possible, and we are very happy that they are pleased with our fastest release. For Clapton, who has not changed his set list much in recent years, this was a dramatic change. The only change in the band members was that the keyboard was replaced by Paul Carrack, and Tim Carmon, a familiar member of the Clapton band, was replaced by Tim Carmon, and the rest was the same as last year’s tour. Therefore, the encore number has finally changed from High Time We Went, which featured Carrack in recent years! Surrounded by reliable and talented members who perform solid performances, Clapton is showing a very fulfilling performance, including surprises. The unexpected set list, which is different from the previous year’s tour, is attractive! This tour was a hot topic for the change in the set list, including daily surprises, and this final performance also did not have the same set list as the previous performances. It can be said that it was a tour that was performed with careful consideration until the final performance. To give another surprise factor, the opening was surprising. This new instrumental song, titled Blue Dust, was a variation of Blue Rainbow, which was first performed at a Japan concert in April of the same year, dedicated to Jeff Beck, who passed away last year! I can’t believe he was already working on a variation of a new song that hadn’t even been officially recorded yet… This alone shows Clapton’s vigorous creativity. (Although he made some mistones. The mistones may have been caused by pain in his hands.) This opening remained the same throughout the tour. And the last song of the first half of the electric set was the new song Prayer of a Child. This song was released with new lyrics added to the instrumental song “Voice Of A Child” that was played at the beginning of the “SAVE A CHILD Concert (For GAZA Children)” charity concert held in December last year (the video has already been released on DVD in our shop). Since it is a song that contains a strong message from Clapton to children suffering from the ravages of war, he probably wanted people to hear it as soon as possible. From the beginning, Clapton plays a custom Stratocaster painted in the colors of the Palestinian flag, which he first got at “SAVE A CHILD Concert (For GAZA Children)”. Moving to the acoustic set, he plays the title number from the 2005 album “BACK HOME”, Back Home. This song was also a super rare song that was only played at the beginning of the 2006 tour. Perhaps it also contains thoughts for the people of Gaza who lost their homes. And surprisingly, in this acoustic set, he plays the original song Golden Ring from “BACKLESS” released in 1978. This was a number included in the project album “The Lady In The Balcony: Lockdown Sessions”, which was recorded live in the studio at an old castle in England in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is likely that he liked the acoustic arrangement there and performed it at this performance. It has been 46 years since the 1978 tour that he played it in a concert live in front of an audience. The first song after the electric set was the powerful Dominos number, Got to Get Better in a Little While. It was also featured in the aforementioned “SAVE A CHILD Concert (For GAZA Children)” for the first time in a long time, and Clapton was able to enjoy a dynamic performance for the first time in a long time, so it is thought that it was included in the set. Sonny Emory’s outstanding stick handling is also wonderful here. What’s interesting is that in the intro, Clapton takes off his long coat and puts on a hoodie, but then he puts his long coat back on as if to say, “It was cold after all.” Clapton’s play, now warm again, is explosive. And then, in this final performance, Old Love was played for the first time on this tour. This is the first time this song has been played in 13 years since the South American tour in 2011, and the audience was particularly excited. In this performance, Clapton’s solo in the middle does not go to the chorus part, but transitions to Tim Carmon’s synth solo. And in the chorus part where the synth solo comes in, Clapton also overlaps with a solo, which is an unusual composition. Furthermore, the ending has also changed from 13 years ago. This is a rare take that you should definitely listen to. As unexpected numbers were played one after another, I thought there would be no more surprises, but as a special production of this tour, Nathan East played a song called Close To Home by Lyle Mays as a prologue before Cocaine. And at the very end, there was another surprise. The encore was Clapton’s favorite blues Before You Accuse Me. Along with Key To The Highway, it was a Clapton-like number that you can listen to with peace of mind. Looking at it this way, you can see that the artist Clapton put together the set list for this tour with many things and many people in mind. Of course, it’s natural that he wanted to play at the root, but it seems that he wanted to show it with his own feelings. His lost best friend, a world of constant war, his admired bluesman, his career so far. This setlist and this fulfilling live performance are the result of various thoughts that came to Clapton’s mind. This is the only performance where you can see Old Love! Please note that Layla and Wonderful Tonight are not included. In that respect, it can be said that it was a rare tour. Ex Campo Balilla, Mura di Lucca, Lucca, Italy 2nd June 2024 AMAZING SHOT!!! 1.
