As the title suggests, this was Clapton’s unprecedented performance, the second day’s performance at The Point in Dublin, Ireland, which was a warm-up gig for “24 Nights”, a 24-night performance at the Royal Albert Hall. Completely recorded with very clear sound quality. This performance was performed by 4 pieces. Although it is monaural, it is very spacious, and it is no exaggeration to say that the sound image in which Clapton’s vocals and the sounds of each instrument stand out clearly is comparable to a sound board. This sound source is the same as the one that was distributed among tape traders in the past, but this time this label obtained the original master and produced it. As a result, the sound quality is different from the Trade Master, which has been repeatedly dubbed. Due to the tape change, the intro of “Bad Love” is slightly missing, and “Crossroads” is missing at 5:24, which is the same as the existing master, but the latter is skillfully recorded on this version. Since cross-fade processing is applied, there is no discomfort. The band’s performance can best be described as “crunching”, and you can really feel the excitement. What is interesting is that the encore “Crossroads” is actually a medley from “Key To The Highway”, and this “Key To ~” is an electric accompaniment by Clapton alone. After completing the whole song, including the solo in the middle, we move on to “Crossroads.” Normally, I would start “Crossroads” after playing just a touch, but even if you see that it has been completed so far, you can see how fulfilling Clapton was.
