Eric Clapton’s “50 Years – Further On Up The Road Tour” ended successfully in 2013. This DVD item contains a complete version of the wonderful audience shots, which will surely become a representative image of the tour! This video suddenly appeared on the Internet, and it completely recorded the performance in Oberhausen, Germany on June 14th, at the end of the European tour, with a very good audience shot. What’s surprising is that in hidden camera footage, which usually goes dark between songs to avoid security personnel, this video has almost no blackouts or cuts between songs (only Wonderful Tonight was recorded halfway through). From the moment Clapton appeared, to the moment he greeted and left the stage, the camera kept rolling from start to finish, and it’s an excellent video that you can watch in a stable framework. The angle was shot from the second floor stand at 45 degrees to the right of the stage, with no obstacles in front of him. You can enjoy the variation of the maximum zoom-up shot being a close-up of Clapton’s face, and the pull-out cut capturing the entire stage. What’s nice is that the members who were assigned solos are captured in close-ups, and the close-up and pull-back shots are mixed exquisitely, showing the photographer’s good taste. By watching this video, which uses a variety of cuts to capture Clapton in the center and pay attention to Paul Carrack on the left side of the stage to Greg Rees on the right side, you will definitely be able to get a perfect grasp of Clapton’s tour (you can also see Rees playing the mandolin in Love In Vain). The sound is also recorded in good stereo, despite the camera’s built-in microphone. This day was also a milestone performance in which Clapton, who had canceled two shows due to a herniated disc just before, returned to the tour. Here, you can see Clapton in top form, without any sense of the accident. When you see the scene where Doyle Bramhall II, who is harmonizing with the guitar, and Clapton smile at each other in the intro of Gotta Get Over, or the scene where Clapton suddenly stomps on the wah-wah pedal and explodes with an aggressive phrase in the middle solo of Got To Get Better In A Little While, you can feel the reality as if you were there. During the encore, it is clear that the audience in the arena is standing up. Live at Koenig-Pilsener Arena, Oberhausen, Germany 14th June 2013 AMAZING SHOT!! 1. Hello Old Friends 2.
