And now the sound sources of the final four performances in LA have been uploaded to the Internet. However, due to the uploader’s incompetence and sound processing, Due to the immaturity of the recording staff, the sound quality was clear but not easy for everyone to listen to. The bass was too strong, making the sound image muffled and giving the impression of being unclear, and the sound pressure was reduced after the performance and then returned to the next song, which caused the sound pressure to shift. This work included troubles such as the person who uploaded the recording being late to the venue, some songs not being recorded, the girlfriend who accompanied him getting drunk and singing along with him for several songs, and the battery running out during the encore, so the taper friends provided us with good quality sources of the same level, which were then edited and connected. All of this work was sloppy, and there were some parts where distortion occurred during the process of reducing the sound pressure. This defect was common to all four performances, but we have applied the mastering technology of our professional engineers, who are well-known for their work. We have relaxed the bass range to achieve the best sound balance and completely corrected the sound pressure shift. The distortion was at a level that could not be completely removed, so we have done our best to reduce it. This makes it much easier to listen to than the master on the net. This upgraded master packs the first two performances of the LA4 performance (the latter two performances were released simultaneously as “Volume 2”). The second day performance has already been released under the CDR title “L.A. FORUM 2017 2nd Night”, and fans will know the rock-solid performance there, but it’s Clapton after all. On the first day, he delivered the highlights of the first day with a passionate performance. On the first day, he suddenly decided on a sharp solo in the opening Somebody Knocking. And the solo on this day’s I Shot The Sheriff is amazing! Although the super-fast playing doesn’t explode, the very emotional and song-filled phrasing can be said to be the culmination of a 54-year career. There are not many guitarists who can play such a long solo full of emotional ups and downs. I can’t help but think that he had a hidden desire to bet on this LA performance. The solo in the opening Somebody Knocking on the second day was also cut off. The final part of the solo in I Shot The Sheriff on this day was a bold chord strumming that created a phrase. Even more amazing was the solo in the previous song Hoochie Coochie Man. The sharp solo in this song is a must-listen. This performance included the newly set White Room, and was appropriate for a performance titled “A Celebration Of 50 Years Of Music”, covering the numbers from the Cream era, solo works from the 70s, “unplugged” numbers from the 90s, and numbers from recent works and old blues covers that never miss, making this the history of Clapton.
