Description
From the 1974 US tour accompanying the release of “Fear of Brain Reform”, the performance in Long Beach, California on February 3rd is recorded in full from the master audience tape owned by the legendary taper Mike Millard, which was recently unearthed for the first time. First of all, it is recorded from the first generation master of the Millard tape, which has been released one after another in recent years, and the soundboard sound source of the second day’s performance the following day by KBFH radio on-air also exists, and due to a problem with the recording equipment, only 36 minutes up to “Tarkus” was recorded, but it was still recorded with an exquisite balance, and the separation feeling that allows you to hear every detail is unique to the Millard tape, so it is part of the record. And the live performance, which seems to have revived the aggressive and wild performance at the time of the debut, is a powerful sound of the full-throttle performance at the beginning, from the familiar opening, the tremendous speed of “Hoedown”, to the imposing “Jerusalem”, the raging and frenzied “Toccata” and “Tarkus”. Live at Long Beach Arena, Long Beach, CA, USA 3rd February 1974 : from Mike Millard 1st Generation Tapes 1. Soundcheck 2.Intro 3. Hoedown 4. Jerusalem 5. Toccata 6. Tarkus
