This is a complete recording of the live performance in Minneapolis on May 27th from the US tour accompanying the release of “Brutal Youth” in 1994, recorded with stereo soundboard recordings from FM On Air. First of all, in the previous album, Costello had been working with the Brodsky Quartet, and had been taking a different approach to his activities. However, this album, his 15th album, was completed in a perfect system with the Attractions + Nick Lowe, and it was a strong band feel album with a four-piece band arrangement for the first time in a long time for Costello. And of course, this is reflected in the live performance, and with the Attractions backing him up after an 8-year hiatus, the band’s tension, reminiscent of their early rock sound, is overwhelming. Therefore, all 10 songs from the album are included in the set, and the live performance, which seems to embody the album concept of “youth”, is reminiscent of their performance in Japan in September of the same year.
