Description

From ELP’s US tour accompanying the 1977 “Tetralogy,” a four-disc set is now available that completely records the Wheeling performance on November 18th and the Memphis performance on the 20th, both with official stereo soundboard recordings. The ultra-high quality stereo line recordings of the two performances, which appeared on the internet a few years ago and were desired to be made into CD due to their overwhelming content, have been remastered and will be released as a four-disc set with the best sound. . The Wheeling performance recorded on Discs 1 & 2 was used as a broadcast sound source, and an official live album based on the same performance was released in 1997, but at that time only 10 songs were recorded, and the rest were recorded in Tulsa in 1974. The content was irregular in that additional performances were recorded. For the first time in history, this edition includes the complete recording of Wheeling’s performances in the correct order, including Hoedown, Tarkus, Take A Pebble, Lucky Man, Pictures At An Exhibition, Karn Evil 9, and Show Me The Way To, which were not included on the official edition. It is a definitive content that includes all Go Home. The Wheeling performance consists of two types of sound sources, and the songs broadcast on FM are mixed with audience noise, but the seven newly discovered songs are not mixed. Both are top-of-the-line soundboards, so they can be recommended with confidence to fans of any level. The Memphis performance recorded on Discs 3 & 4 is also recorded with the highest quality stereo line recording. It is recorded with a much more natural sound than the previously released version, making it a must-listen take for fans. A killer opening medley followed by Peter Gunn/Hoedown, Tarkus with GX1’s great performance, Take A Pebble with piano concerto and Maple Leaf Rag, Pictures At An Exhibition full of modern sound colors, placed in the middle. Karn Evil 9, the Tank/Drum Solo/Enemy God medley featuring Karl, Nut Rocker with its mellow piano overture and intense jazz piano play in the middle, and the grand finale song Pirates/Fanfare/Rondo, making it a highly enjoyable 4 hours. 20 minutes! !
