Description

ELP masterpiece revival! This work is an audience album containing the “July 22, 1977 Cobo Arena performance” and is a masterpiece among the masterpieces of the “JEMS sound source”. Pin on this date! The person who came here is an avid collector. Yes, the sound source was once released as “DETROIT WORKS”. “DETROIT WORKS” was a masterpiece that contained 3 performances in 6 CDs, but among them, “July 22nd”, the highest sound quality and full-length recording, was remastered and pressed above. “In that case, please press the entire “DETROIT WORKS””, which is a valid opinion. However, the other two performances of “DETROIT WORKS” had some problems with the sound quality, and there were not enough songs…Unfortunately, I could not say that it was “perfect!” That’s what I’m saying. Yes, that’s right! This is a live album that you can proudly say, “It’s perfect!”!! Honestly, since “DETROIT WORKS” was a big six-disc set, the last three performances “July 22nd” It seems that many people were unable to concentrate and listen because they were full before reaching the stage. It was a wasteful sound source because people didn’t realize that the best sound and best performance was at the end. In that sense, I would like to introduce this work as an independent work. And the fineness of the sound is outstanding. It is comparable to the super masterpiece “LEGACY” of the Lumpinski Collection, and even close to the sound board’s “DEFINITIVE WORKS LIVE 1977” (both are a must-listen!). When it comes to recording a trio band, the clearness of the sound and the sharpness of the outline are the key because the ensemble is simple, but this work is exactly 100 points perfect. They also performed with an orchestra in the same year and at the same venue, but the GX-1 reverberates with a rich sound that makes it hard to believe it was such a large venue unless you mention it. As expected, it should be called “JEMS”, but it’s terrifying… It is a beautiful recording of the 1977 ELP that reached the height of mastery. When we talk about “1977,” people tend to focus on orchestral collaborations, but this work features only a trio. With just three people, the large venue that could easily accommodate an orchestra was brought to life. Their playing ability is not only amazing, but also the incredible performance of “Hoedown” and “Tarkus” which are equipped with an accelerator! The trio performed a complicated song, keeping track of their timing just by keeping an eye on the huge stage. What’s more, it’s amazing that even though the speed is so high that it almost violates the traffic laws, it never gets disturbed. Keith’s finger movements, Greg’s British voice, Carl’s tight rolls… everything is as smooth as fine velvet. And, because of the high sound quality that “JEMS” is proud of, you can fully enjoy the fine detail of each note. I don’t know if they were challenging the raging new wave storm, or if they were fired up by a big deficit orchestra tour, but they have a sharpness and high tension that cut directly into the “progressive rock = dinosaur rock” world. At a time when the great bands of yesteryear were struggling and wandering, ELP was no exception when it came to creating music, but once they got on stage, they continued to move forward without the slightest wavering. Even if it’s a ballad, the excitement of these three people will never let you down! It’s exploding. Not only the performance, but also the flow of the show is really fun. Originally a band that is particular about entertainment, this gorgeous rock picture scroll features masterpieces and representative songs one after another, centering on the gem arrangements of “Tarkus” and “Pictures At An Exhibition,” which are packed with delicious parts. Of course, the improvisational dances from the early 70’s are wonderful, but this show that has a constant “toy box overturning feeling” is really ELP-like and the best! The last part of the show was a double barrage of “Pirates” and “Fanfare For The Common Man/Rondo” led by the wildly blooming “Nutrocker”! Although it was a new song that had only been released for four months at the time, it ended the show in a dramatic way and brought it to a grand finale… Ten years after Emerson made his debut with “Nice Thoughts,” British progressive rock was at the threshold of a period of suffering. However, even in these times, the heroes who have been running for the past 10 years have excited large audiences with their intense passion. Could you have imagined that they would be so vivid on studio records or on the other side of chronology? A super masterpiece from a real audience that conveys the truth of three people who are about to reach the height of their mastery as performers.
