This highly recommended album contains over an hour of rare and precious live performances by Gismonti, including his solo performance at the Willisau Jazz Festival in Switzerland on August 29, 1991, a live performance in Brazil in 1994 with John McLaughlin, who also performs Gismonti’s music in his super guitar trio with Di Meola and Paco, a rare duo performance with Charlie Haden, who has performed with him in many bands including MAGICO, at the Heineken Concert in Sao Paulo, Brazil in April 1999, and a gem of a performance by Gismonti at the ECM 50th Anniversary Commemorative Concert held at the Lincoln Center in New York in November 2019. All of these recordings are carefully mastered by the label and recorded on a high-quality stereo soundboard.
