E.S.T. Esbjorn Svensson Trio/Poland 2006

The live performance was held in 2006 at the Blue Note Poznan club in Poland, with the masterpiece album “Tuesday Wonderland” released at the peak of E.S.T.’s career as a trio. In this performance, the genius Svensson’s sharp improvisations and dramatic melodies have further evolved, and of course, like Svensson, Berglund and Ostrom have also reached a new height. Furthermore, while based on Scandinavian aesthetic melodies, they emphasize the sense of groove, and their dynamic playing, which makes full use of effects that have had a major influence on greats such as Herbie Hancock and Jack DeJohnette, as well as their successors Go-Go Penguin and Robert Glasper, has almost reached a state of perfection, and we were reminded once again that they have built an ideal template for a sound that looks from the present to the future.
