Description
DIO has returned to the world of royal fantasy, Yngwie is in a fantastic lineup with Jorn Lande, and DORO is also known as the “female version of Ronnie.” Introducing a big live set where all the best stylistic metal singers come together. What is engraved in this work is “November 25, 2000 Denver Performance”. This is a superb audience recording that completely records the three performers. DIO was on a heavy track in the 90’s, but in 2000 they brought back Craig Goldie and returned to a melodic and romantic track. Yngwie and DORO were invited as special guests in some parts of the North American recce of the “MAGICA TOUR”, and a joint tour by the three groups was realized. This work is a 4-disc set that vacuum-packs the scene. Moreover, this work is a superb recording by the same taper that has been further refined through meticulous mastering. The original sound was discovered as “ALL WE ARE”, but the sound is truly the best. I can’t mistake it for a sound board because I can feel (a faint) Odin-like sound in the snare tone, etc., but if this was in the 80’s, it would definitely have been distributed as a sound board. Anyway, it’s close and very close. There is no sense of distance between the guitar and vocals, and the extremely thick core is screwed directly into your brain. The bass, which tends to be a weakness in guest recordings, is also clear, and it is so good that you will forget that it is an audience recording when listening to it. And, this work further brushes up the original sound. Originally, it was a type that coated a strong core with a thick sound, but this work has sorted out that sound. While maintaining its lustrous beauty, the contours and minute details are clearly felt, and the darkness of silence is even deeper. It has been reborn as a vivid sound that brings out the possibilities of sound board recording as much as possible. It’s amazing that such a sound penetrates the full show of the three groups. Now, let’s introduce each band individually. [DISC 1: DORO from the “CALLING THE WILD” era that returned to metal] The first to appear is DORO led by Doro Pesch, who is known as the “Ronnie of Female Voices”. She also followed the pop-rock route in the 90s, but returned to the world of heavy metal with her masterpiece “CALLING THE WILD.” I joined the tour in response to DIO, who also returned to his roots. Since it’s the first song, it only lasts about 31 minutes, but this is all the songs for the day. The set is packed with metallic masterpieces, and the set consists of WARLOCK’s masterpiece “TRIUMPH AND AGONY” and the new album “CALLING THE WILD,” which is a return to its roots.Other than that, “Burning The Witches” only. It thoroughly hits the muddy metal side in quick succession. What’s more, that steely will can be clearly felt from the singing voice. Her powerful vocalization and free vibrato with a chirpy sound are on full display, earning her the nickname “Female Ronnie.” You can experience with your own eyes the wonderful singing voice that fits perfectly with the expression “manly” that shouldn’t be said. [DISC 2: The phantom YNGWIE MALMSTEEN that welcomes Jorn] Following the “Female Voice Ronnie” is Yngwie Malmsteen sung by Jørn Lande, who was seen as “Ronnie’s successor”. In his career, he has worked with various singers, but Jorn was thought to be the best and most suitable, but unfortunately they parted ways without producing any work. You can experience the show of such a phantom era with the best sound. In fact, his singing voice is extremely powerful. Speaking of Jorn, he was the singer for HEAVEN & HELL in Ronnie’s memorial “HIGH VOLTAGE 2010” and was even said by Tony Iommi to be a “living copy of Ronnie.” From a listener’s perspective, he doesn’t really resemble Ronnie all that much, and rather reminds me of THE SNAKES’s “Soccer from Coverdale,” but his powerful and flexible singing style is certainly similar to Ronnie. . The combination of Jorn and Yngwie is truly a neoclassical utopia. During the approximately 52-minute stage, Jorn sings only four songs: “Rising Force,” “Crucify,” “Masquerade,” and “I’ll See The Light Tonight” (what a waste…), but that’s one of them. One song gives you a simulated experience of “What if Ronnie and Coverdale were teamed up with Yngwie?” If only they would have taken the time to do more studio work… It’s also a show that brings back the regrets of 20 years ago. [DISC 3-4: DIO full of rare songs] The one who will be the headliner with such a “female version” and “successor” is a true legend. DIO, led by Ronnie James Dio. It was the best sound so far, but the main act has a good sound as expected. The audience-like sound that was felt with the snare has been eliminated, and it has truly evolved into a superb sound with a “super” sound board-like sound. And that full show is amazing. At that time, the highlight was the performance of “MAGICA” (it is not a complete reproduction as “Turn to Stone” and “Otherworld” are omitted), and you can enjoy it well in this work. Other songs are even more delicious. I just introduced the best sound board “HOLLYWOOD 2000 (Shades 1167)” the other day, but that masterpiece only had one encore song and was not a full show. On the other hand, this work is a complete recording from the beginning to the end of the performance. Now, let’s organize the DIO sets as well. Before the reproduction part (DISC 3: 5 songs)・HOLY DIVER: Invisible/Stand Up And Shout/Don’t Talk To Strangers (★)・DREAM EVIL: Sunset Superman/All The Fools Sailed Away reproduction part (DISC 3)・MAGICA: Magica Theme/Lord Of The Last Day/Fever Dreams/Feed My Head/Eriel/Challis/As Long As It’s Not About Love/Losing My Insanity After the reproduction part (DISC 4: 8 songs + α)・RANBOW: Man On The Silver Mountain (★) / Long Live Rock ‘n’ Roll (★) ・BLACK SABBATH: Heaven And Hell (★) / The Mob Rules (★) ・HOLY DIVER: Holy Diver / Rainbow In The Dark (★) / Gypsy・THE LAST IN LINE: The Last In Line (★) / We Rock (★) *Note: Songs marked with “★” cannot be heard on the best soundboard “HOLLYWOOD 2000”. …and it looks like this. Mainly the classics, there are many famous songs that you couldn’t hear on “HOLLYWOOD 2000”. Of course, you can also enjoy plenty of revived songs such as the precious “Sunset Superman”, “All The Fools Sailed Away”, “Invisible” and “Gypsy”. This is a superb live set that completely records all three groups over a period of 3 hours and 15 minutes. In his later years, even Ronnie could not hide his decline, but in this work, he has a beautiful voice that is as beautiful as it was in his heyday. You can also enjoy the fantastic Jorn Lande & Yngwie and DORO, whose recording itself is valuable. It’s a delicious 4-disc set where you can fully experience a night full of passionate singers.
