The 60th birthday concert held at New York’s prestigious jazz club Village Vanguard on February 27, 1983 is recorded in a two-disc set using the finest stereo soundboard sound source using a broadcast master. It is a heated performance that can only be seen live by the one-horn quartet formed in 1981, Kirk Lightsey, David Eubanks, and Eddie Gladdin.
