Description
From a must-have label for Clapton fans, this title is a nearly complete recording of the live performance at Cincinnati Music Hall in Ohio on November 26th, the final stage of the 1970 US tour, from the recently unearthed low generation audience master. First of all, although the sound source has been distributed in the past, the clarity and directness of the sound are definitely upgraded versions, and it can be said to be sufficient as an audience recording on the day. And the tour lasted several months, and the song composition and band ensemble were quite well-coordinated, and the set also became a golden pattern starting with “Got To Get Better In A Little While”. And Clapton’s play, which sparks at once from the subdued intro riff and spins phrases one after another in a relaxed flowing manner, is full of fulfillment. “Stormy Monday” is a bluesy song with a sensual vocal and blues guitar that blends beautifully. The following “Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad” is a must-listen for the sad vocals followed by a guitar solo that makes your soul cry. The R&R medley of “Little Queenie” and “Sweet Little Rock And Roller” in the middle of the show is usually played as an encore, so it’s rare to see it in this position. The ending is “Everyday I Have The Blues,” which became a familiar song at this time of year, and this day was famous for B.B. King’s appearance, so rather than blues, the tune is a fun atmosphere with a good rock and roll arrangement and exchanges of solos. Two weeks later, on December 6th, Clapton’s last stage as Derek & The Dominos was, and this precious live performance towards the end is here in the best quality. DISC 1 : 1.
