Description
This title is an air check and soundboard recording of a live performance by Defunkt, a super jazz funk band led by Joseph Bowie, calling themselves Defunkt Soul, from the Italian FM radio station Radio 3 RAI. The opening Defunkt Soul Theme will have you in agony, and the sharpness of Rocco Zifarelli’s guitar cutting in See Through and the wildness of Jon Grandcamp’s drumming will tell you just how amazing this band is. Linley Marthe’s Fender bass chopper in Big Time is so insane. The live performance is insanely cool and stylish, focusing on numbers from the albums One World (1995) and Cum Funky (1993). The last song, Michael’s Another Part Of Me, is more danceable than the original in a sense.
