Description

Here is the newly excavated master sound source of the second golden period. After the release of “Portrait of Purple” in 1973, the Providence performance on May 23rd was recorded in two audience sound sources from the US leg of the final world tour. First of all, this newly excavated sound source from the North American tour just before the final performance in Japan is a mono cassette recording of about 71 minutes, and the taper released had produced a pseudo-stereo source in addition to the original mono master, so this time both were coupled. And the quality is not the best, with a tremendous roar popping out due to aging and suddenly stabilizing, and even though it is not complete because it was recorded until the end of “Space Truckin'”, the pitch was accurately adjusted by about a semitone, and the sound was corrected as easy to listen as possible, making it the best quality of the precious first public live performance in existence. Disc 1: 1 Highway Star 2 Smoke On The Water 3 Strange Kind Of Woman 4 Child In Time 5 Lazy 6 Drums Solo 7 The Mule 8 Space Truckin’ [Live at Civic Center, Providence, RI. USA 23rd May 1973 : Mono Audience Recording] Disc 2: 1 Highway Star 2 Smoke On The Water 3 Strange Kind Of Woman 4 Child In Time 5 Lazy 6 Drums Solo 7 The Mule 8 Space Truckin’ [Live at Civic Center, Providence, RI.
