Description

The era of “THE HOUSE OF BLUE LIGHT” has been re-evaluated recently. Two sister works by the original masters of industry insiders have been decided to be released simultaneously! This work is the second of two simultaneous releases. It is a masterpiece audience recording of “Hartford performance on April 17, 1987”. Speaking of 1987, it is famous for the official traditional board “NOBODY’S PERFECT”, and the sister work “PORTLAND 1987” was also released at the same time. In order to organize that area, let’s first check the position of the show from the schedule at that time. {January 12th “THE HOUSE OF BLUE LIGHT” released}・January 26th – March 8th: Europe (27 shows)・April 15th: Quebec show・April 16th “PORTLAND 1987″・April 17th: Hartford show ←★This album★・April 18th – May 22nd: North America (21 shows) *May 23rd: Irvine show ←※NOBODY’S PERFECT・May 24th – 29th: North America (3 shows) *May 30th: Phoenix show ←※NOBODY’S PERFECT{May 30th: Richie injures his left hand}・August 19th: Helsinki show*August 22nd: Oslo show ←※NOBODY’S PERFECT・August 27th – September 1st: Europe (5 shows) *September 2nd (?): Milan show ←※NOBODY’S PERFECT ・September 5th + 6th (?): Rome (2 performances) * September 7th (?): Verona performance ← * NOBODY’S PERFECT * Note: The “*” mark is the recording date of the official “NOBODY’S PERFECT”. This is DEEP PURPLE in 1987. For ease of understanding, the following year of 1988 has been omitted (Incidentally, the Italian performance adopted for “NOBODY’S PERFECT” is slightly different depending on the material, so it is marked with a “?”). The simultaneously released “PORTLAND 1987” was the second performance of the North American tour, but this work’s Hartford performance was the concert the day after that. This work is also an original master brought by the same related route, and it is exactly a sister work on two consecutive days. However, even if the route and position are sisters, the sound is not so. In fact, this work of the younger sister is a beautiful recording that shines much more. The point is “clearness”. The older sister work “PORTLAND 1987” also had a powerful sound that did not feel distant, but this work has a crystal clear and clear airiness, and the edges of the contours are crisp and vivid. Of course, the on- and powerful core is not inferior to “PORTLAND 1987”, and the sparkling treble extension is overwhelmingly superior. It is a brilliant recording that can be given without hesitation to the praise of “just like a sound board”, which was difficult to use in “PORTLAND 1987”. Such brilliant beautiful sound is drawn in a full show with a different atmosphere from the previous day. Let’s organize it while comparing it here. Machine Head (4 songs) Highway Star/Lazy/Space Truckin’/Smoke On The Water House of Blue Light (4 songs) The Unwritten Law (★)/Dead Or Alive/Hard Lovin’ Woman/Bad Attitude Others (7 songs + α) Perfect Strangers: Perfect Strangers/Knocking At Your Back Door Others: Strange Kind Of Woman/Child In Time/Black Night (*)/Woman From Tokyo/Difficult To Cure (★) *Note: Songs marked with “★” cannot be heard on “NOBODY’S PERFECT”. Songs marked with “*” cannot be heard on “PORTLAND 1987”. …And so it goes. The highlight of the previous day, “Mad Dog”, was dropped, and instead the classic “Black Night” was revived. Although only one song was replaced, the effect of lowering the concentration of the new songs was surprisingly large, and it felt like it was much closer to “NOBODY’S PERFECT”. However, the details are different, and “The Unwritten Law” with its drum solo is unique to this period, and even “Hard Lovin’ Woman” has a fresh arrangement of weaving “Under The Gun” with a guitar solo. Another point is that the show has improved as a result of the replacement. To be honest, it is inevitable that “Mad Dog”, which was valuable but Gillan was on the edge, will fall, and thanks to the disappearance of the anxiety factor, it leads to a heavy good mood. Compared to “PORTLAND 1987” where the super rare songs were delicious, this work shines with the beauty of the sound. It is a masterpiece of two consecutive works that are sisters but have completely different personalities. Although the older sister recording is more famous, this work by the younger sister is better as a live album. A great masterpiece audience recording of “April 17, 1987 Hartford performance”. This is the original master of the sisters, brought by the same route as the simultaneously released “PORTLAND 1987”, but the sound of this work is much better. Not only is it powerful enough to feel the distance, but the air is crystal clear and clear, and the edges of the contours are crisp and vivid. The sparkling treble extension is also wonderful, and you can fully experience the precious “THE HOUSE OF BLUE LIGHT Tour” with a shining sound that goes “like a sound board”.
