Description
This is the second installment of the shocking new excavation series, “1973 Edition”. The first visit to Japan albums “OSAKA 1972 1ST NIGHT” and “2ND NIGHT” are currently receiving rave reviews, but this week the theme is the following year, 1973. The second visit to Japan was also brought to us by the same unique route as the first two visits to Japan, and the newly excavated cassette master was brought to us. This work is also a CD made directly from that cassette. This work was recorded at the “June 24, 1973: Nagoya City Public Hall” performance. Our shop has been delivering all the performances of DEEP PURPLE’s second visit to Japan for some time. This week, three albums are being released at the same time, so let’s organize the decisive boards for each day by tour schedule.・June 23: Hiroshima City Public Hall “DEFINITIVE HIROSHIMA 1973” ・June 24: Nagoya City Public Hall [This work] ・June 25: Nippon Budokan “DEFINITIVE BUDOKAN 1973” ・June 26: Nippon Budokan (cancelled) ・June 27: Osaka Welfare Pension Hall “FINAL BLACK” ・June 29: Osaka Welfare Pension Hall “”THE END”” This is the full story of the second visit to Japan called “1973 of fate”. The Nagoya performance of this work was the second concert. Speaking of the decisive board of this day, there was “LIVE IN NAGOYA”, but this work is a different recording from that famous board. That said, it is not a complete first appearance, but a classic famous recording that has conveyed the truth of this day for many years. In our shop, it is the complete version of the recording used as a supplementary part of “LIVE IN NAGOYA”. Of course, like the other works in this new excavation series, this is a newly excavated master from a different generation. The sound is a stunning vintage sound. At first listen, “LIVE IN NAGOYA” sounds clearer with its sharp high-pitched sound, but this work has a thick feel of the entire ensemble and a direct feeling of hitting. In particular, the “closeness” that almost does not feel the distance is one of the best things about the many recordings of his visits to Japan. Its robustness even suppresses the enthusiasm of the audience. In fact, the intense and clear sound of “LIVE IN NAGOYA” clearly captured the enthusiasm of the scene. Although the enthusiasm is absorbed in this work, the overwhelmingly tough performance and singing voice do not give up the leading role in the slightest. Moreover, that tough sound suits the incarnation of hard rock of the present generation well. It is a hard rock paradise where aggressive phrases exchange and powerful beats collide with the atmosphere of the 70s. The full show that is pierced by that sound is wonderful. There was a gap in “LIVE IN NAGOYA”, which was filled in from the same recording as this work. However, this one only has a slight gap in the rhythm keep part of the “Space Truckin'” intro due to a tape change, and the performance is almost completely through. The only thing that was filled in from “LIVE IN NAGOYA” was the end announcement (the female voice’s “Thank you for today…” announcement has a very good atmosphere). The sound quality does not change and you can enjoy the scene smoothly to the fullest. A miracle cassette master excavated from the same route. This work alone is an excellent vintage album, but it is also an indispensable one for collecting the series. Along with “DEFINITIVE HIROSHIMA 1973” and “DEFINITIVE BUDOKAN 1973”, this is a famous record that has been following the same path for 44 years. Please approach the “truth of 1973” with three new sounds. Live at Nagoya-shi Kokaido, Nagoya, Japan 24th June 1973 (76:14) 1. Intro. 2. Highway Star 3. Smoke On The Water 4. Strange Kind Of Woman 5. Child In Time 6. Keyboard Solo 7. Lazy 8. Drum Solo 9. The Mule 10. Space Truckin’ 11. Black Night
