Description

In 1991, the annual European Jazz Festival released a DVD containing the live performance at Vitoria Jazz on July 15th in high quality and high bit rate. The opening song is the fan-popular “First Song,” and you’ll fall in love with Sanborn’s alto, as well as the piano player Kenny Kirkland’s new mainstream playing. Unfortunately, he passed away in 1998 at the young age of 43, but I hear that many young players are still influenced by his high-level playing style. In addition, the backing members, including Charnett Moffett on bass and Al Foster on drums, have a good rhythm, and Sanborn’s tenor also enlivens the stage with its lustrous tone. The second song is “The Good Life,” written by Ornette Coleman, and the third song is “Tonality Atonement,” featuring Kenny’s piano. Then, Marcus’ famous song “Camel Island,” arranged with a Latin touch, is the third song. Don’t miss the stage where famous songs such as “” were performed! ! It is a 62-minute stage where Shorter’s famous song “Black Night” was played at the end. Live at Vitoria Jazz, Spain 07/15/1991 1.First Song 2.Good Life 3.Tonality Of Atonement 4.Duke And Counts 5.Black Nite David Sanborn (as), Kenny Kirkland (p), Charnette Moffett (b) Al Foster (dr), Don Arias (perc)
