Description
The album “Ziggy Stardust” released in 1972 is David Bowie’s masterpiece and a timeless masterpiece as a historical masterpiece of 70’s rock. Newly released from the Archive Collection as a 50th Anniversary Collector’s Edition! CD1 is “Ziggy Stardust BBC Tracks”, which reconstructs the album “Ziggy Stardust” based on the BBC live sound source of the first original edited multi-track stereo remaster. Focusing on the BBC live from January to May 1972, “Soul Love” and “It Ain’t Easy” from 1971, which were not recorded at BBC, are added to reproduce all the songs of the album “Ziggy Stardust” live in the studio. The album reconstruction with a straight live band performance by Spiders from Mars, which is different from the finished form of the studio recording, is also attracting attention as an alternate album. Basically, the BBC live at that time has been released as a mono sound source, but this time it has been made into real stereo by multi-track editing for the first time. The latest mix, in which the vocals and performance are clearly separated and even more powerful, is a must-listen. CD2 contains all the songs on the album in a low mix that focuses on the vivid vocals and guitars that convey the breath, and does not include overdubs such as drums and orchestration, as “Naked Tracks”. It is an interesting sound source that brings out sounds that are usually buried. In addition, TV live sound sources such as “Top of the Pops” and “OGWT” other than BBC radio are also included as BBC-related sound sources from 1972. The DVD is the “Ziggy Stardust 1972 Collection”, a video collection that traces the trajectory of Ziggy Stardust from the birth of Ziggy to his heyday, collecting precious live video records from 1972, TV, and promotional videos. The album includes live footage of Ziggy’s early days, with audio recorded on precious silent film, news footage of Rainbow with Lindsay Kemp’s pantomime, live footage of Santa Monica, and even a variety of promo footage. This is the latest title you can’t miss as the 50th anniversary collector’s edition of the album. The album “Ziggy Stardust” has been reconstructed based on the BBC live sound source, which has been remastered in multi-track stereo with the first original editing. All the songs on the album are recorded in naked tracks with a low mix that focuses on vocals and guitars and eliminates overdubs. Additional recording of 1972 BBC related sound sources. A DVD video collection that brings together precious live footage, TV and promotional footage to trace the history of Ziggy Stardust from his birth to his heyday in 1972.
