Description

The final day of the North American tour after the release of “HEATHEN” in 2002, the performance in Washington on August 16th, was recorded in full with direct sound from the PA, which is hard to believe for an outdoor venue. As the stage proceeded along with the set of the tour as a whole, in the middle of the show, Elvis humorously announced that it was the anniversary of Presley’s death and improvised “I Feel So Bad” and “One Night”, which are extremely rare numbers recorded only on this day. As an aside, Elvis had an eye on Bowie in his later years, and there is an anecdote that he called Bowie directly six months before his death and requested him to produce a new album. This is one of the special recordings from the many “HEATHEN TOUR” recordings, so be sure to check it out. Disc 1 : 1. Life on Mars 2. Ashes to Ashes 3. Breaking Glass 4. Cactus 5. China Girl 6.
