Description
An upgraded version of the best sound source representing the “ISOLAR 1976 TOUR” is now available. The best sound source is “Seattle performance on February 3, 1976”. It is the very early show of the “ISOLAR 1976 TOUR”. Speaking of “early 1976”, the other day we also introduced the definitive edition “CLEVELAND 1976 2ND NIGHT”, which was the 19th performance of the tour. In contrast, this work is the second performance of the tour, which went back about two weeks. The recording of such an early Seattle performance was once released as “THROWING DARTS IN”. This work is not a remaster of that “THROWING DARTS IN”. Our shop has been provided with masters and mastering supervision by a world authority on Bowie research, and this is the latest edition. It is the apex board that the authority has stamped as “this is the best master”. The quality is exactly the pinnacle of the “ISOLAR 1976 TOUR”. In the first place, “THROWING DARTS IN” was a work published by the prestigious JEMS, but it was also a little distant. However, this master is “like a sound board”. The solid musical tones are thick all the way, and you can hear the full show without any slight blurring or shaking. In terms of the scale of the scene, “CLEVELAND 1976 2ND NIGHT” wins, but this work is superior in terms of directness and clarity. That’s why all the notes of all the instruments are clear, from the hi-hat of the drums to the slapping of the bass, but what’s particularly wonderful is Bowie’s singing voice. It reaches straight from the well-balanced ensemble, sometimes barking manly, sometimes whispering gently. Even the breathing is vivid, and the reality is 100% genuine. The “world of The Thin White Duke” depicted with that quality is wonderful and valuable. In fact, there are very few high-quality live records of this “ISOLAR 1976 TOUR”. Although there are some soundboards, they are all incomplete. There is also a full pro shot of the famous rehearsal, but it is just a rehearsal. It was far from the tension of the real thing, such as redoing mistakes. In contrast, this work allows you to fully enjoy the full show on stage in front of the audience with the highest quality. In addition, there is plenty of flavor unique to the very early days of the tour. In “CLEVELAND 1976 2ND NIGHT”, the moment when the set was changed was depicted, but this work is the very early form before the change. The start dash “Station To Station” and “Suffragette City” are the same, but from there, it rushes into THE VELVET UNDERGROUND’s “Im Waiting For The Man” and shows off the variety. After that, the three consecutive “Word On A Wing”, “Stay”, and “TVC 15” draw you into “The World of The Thin White Duke”. On the other hand, “Fame” and “Queen Bitch” are placed at the climax of the second half. This flow is also fresh, but the highlight is “Sister Midnight”. It was revived in 2003, but it is a cover of Iggy Pop, which was limited to 1976 until then. This song is a rare song that could not be heard on “CLEVELAND 1976 2ND NIGHT” or even on the soundboard album “ROTTERDAM 1976 (Wardour-186)”. You can enjoy it with the best sound. The performance itself shows the solidity of the early part of the tour, but on the other hand, high-tension ad-lib explodes early on in “Panic In Detroit”. There is plenty of dandy singing and aggressive scat. Not only is the groove from the time when they were inclined to soul, but Tony Kaye’s (formerly of YES) keyboard that is involved is also interesting. Making full use of 60’s style organ, meloton and piano, the performance reminiscent of the later DETECTIVE creates a unique worldview. After the main show, a precious soundboard recording was also included as a bonus. This is a recording of an appearance on the popular CBS program “DINAH SHORE SHOW” recorded on “January 3, 1976” prior to the tour. Although the screen is a little sweet, this broadcast is known for its excellent sound. This work was recorded with a master carefully selected by the aforementioned researcher. The world of the masterpiece “STATION TO STATION” and “Pale Marquis”, which are different from “Ziggy” and the “Berlin era”. A masterpiece of a full live album that depicts the singing voice with the best sound. The apex of 100% real sound that is no less than the highly acclaimed “CLEVELAND 1976 2ND NIGHT”.
