Description
The best rehearsal album is here. This work is engraved with the “1.OUTSIDE” era created with his ally Brian Eno. This two-disc set mainly features stereo soundboard recordings of the tour rehearsal, with the best live recordings as bonus tracks. First of all, we must introduce the shocking rehearsal sound source. This recording has appeared in the world as the analog record “SLINKY SECRETS” in recent years, causing a stir among enthusiasts. It shook collectors with its incredible high-quality sound, but this work is not an analog transcription of that. Our shop has previously introduced Bowie’s soundboard albums in apex quality. We have been powerfully supervised by a world authority on Bowie research, and have used the top master backed by a reliable selection eye and vast knowledge to deliver a quality that surpasses the previous releases. This work is the latest in the series. We were provided with the master who became the origin of the analog record that surprised enthusiasts around the world. That’s why its quality is at the pinnacle. This is not the pinnacle of this sound source. It is the pinnacle of all the countless sound board sound sources that exist, both official and unofficial. It is no longer easy to declare it as “official class”. Rather, it is of such great quality that it should be compared to official studio works. The music depicted with that quality is also not free. When it comes to rehearsal albums, no matter how good the sound is, the performance itself is often sloppy, and it is not uncommon for tour rehearsals in particular to not remember the songs completely. This is natural, since they are not in front of an audience and are not played by anyone. However, this work is a little different. It is also related to the time when this work was recorded. Let me start by explaining the outline of “OUTSIDE TOUR 1995”.・September-October 1995: North America (27 performances)《November 8-11, 1995: Rehearsal》 ←★Here★・November-December 1995: UK (16 performances)・January-February 1996: Europe #1 (23 performances)・June 1996: Japan (7 performances)・June-July 1996: Europe #2 (20 performances) This is the whole story of the world tour. The “November 8-11, 1995” when this work was recorded was a rehearsal in preparation for the upcoming “UK leg” after the tour had already started and they had made plenty of tours of the “North American leg”. In particular, on the first day of rehearsal, “November 8”, they had also appeared on “TOP OF THE POPS” and were almost fully prepared. It was a thorough rehearsal of a band that was already well-seasoned. Therefore, the performance was perfect. Although it is a little different from the excitement in front of an audience, the ironclad ensemble boasts a perfection that does not leak water. You can immerse yourself in the ironclad performance “only”. What is performed with that performance ability can be called “the live version of 1.OUTSIDE”. In fact, of the 17 songs (18 takes) performed in this work, about half are “1.OUTSIDE”, and four songs from the “Berlin Trilogy” are also performed. You can fully enjoy that unique world of bizarreness. It is a live performance album that is not at all like a rehearsal, but on the contrary, it is Bowie’s words that make it seem like a rehearsal. He gives instructions to the band between songs (and sometimes even during songs) and takes charge of the on-site direction. His voice is also poured directly into your brain through a sound board directly connected to the desk. It is a super-excellent album where you can not only play and sing, but also encounter “Bowie behind the scenes”. Although it is such an exquisite rehearsal, it is a little shorter than a normal live performance, about 101 minutes. That’s enough, but for our customers, the authority also provided us with the best bonus tracks. Eight superb audience recordings from the first day of the North American tour prior to the rehearsal, “September 12, 1995 Hartford performance,” and one soundboard song, “My Death,” from the “September 18, 1995 New York performance.” The key point of the former is NINE INCH NAILS. “OUTSIDE TOUR 1995” was also a hot topic because NINE INCH NAILS was appointed as the opening act, and the first five songs on Bowie’s stage were performed with NINE INCH NAILS. It was a structure that avalanched directly into the main part of Bowie. The Hartford performance in this work records the first co-starring part. Of course, not only is it valuable, but the quality is also super first class. It is a tremendous recording that does not feel out of place even after the best stereo soundboard. And the last New York performance is “My Death” played only by pianist Mike Garson. This is a genuine official-grade superb stereo soundboard that was also released on the official website. The rehearsal was a band performance, but here Bowie sings passionately to the sound of a dignified piano. In this way, you may think that it is a bonus that mixes the audience and the soundboard strangely. However, if you actually hear it, you will understand that this bonus is wonderful. It produces such a moving finale. A rehearsal where you can meet Bowie, who is a rare and on-site director. In addition to the main sound source drawn with a super-high-grade stereo soundboard, this is a superb board that also includes early highlights from “OUTSIDE TOUR 1995” as a bonus. It is a masterpiece that condenses the delicious parts of “OUTSIDE TOUR 1995” into one. One of the rare quality of Bowie in the 90s.
