Description
A precious live recording from before Ziggy was born is here in upgraded master specifications. This title was recorded over 61 minutes at a club gig in Aylesbury, England on September 25, 1971, and the sound is clearer from a new master that was recently unearthed. And since it was released a few months before “HUNKY DORY” was released, the set was mostly numbers from that album, with “Space Oddity”, “The Supermen”, “Looking For A Friend”, and a number of covers inserted. The backing was also a quartet consisting of the three members just before they called themselves THE SPIDERS, with pianist Tom Parker added, and the performance started with just one acoustic guitar for a while, and then other instruments came in after the “HUNKY DORY” in the middle. Then, from around “Changes”, Mick Ronson’s hard edge also appeared, and after that, the sound that would later lead to Ziggy was everywhere. 1. Intro 2. Fill Your Heart 3. Buzz The Fuzz 4.
