Description

As a new Bowie memorial item in 2017, from the original cassette series recorded by Kinney, which has been a big hit since 2015, here is a title that completely recorded the performance at Nippon Budokan on October 24, 1983 Japan tour, from two completely unreleased original audience masters. First of all, it was a time when Bowie gained explosive popularity in general with the big hit of “Let’s Dance” and his appearance in the movie “Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence”, so this third visit to Japan was a busy schedule of 10 performances in 12 days. Then, four performances were scheduled at Budokan, the final one was on the 24th, and this title is a coupling of the original master owned by Taper, which will be released to the world for the first time, and the audience master by Kinney’s original cassette, which is also the first time, and both of these are of comparable quality. Since the recording positions are different, it is fun to compare them, and the difference in the sound quality and reality of the venue is also a point, and the fact that the high-pitched squeals can be heard in a good balance in both cases is also a point. The live performance itself was the last day of four consecutive performances at the Budokan, and the show, which was polished at the same venue and with the same set, was truly ironclad, and the set also included the encores “Star”, “Stay”, “The Jean Genie”, and “Modern Love” that cannot be heard on the official “SERIOUS MOONLIGHT”, and that emotion is revived beyond time and space, a must-have limited collector’s edition for fans.
