Description
This is definitely one of the best BOWIE collector’s CDs ever, and the ultimate collection of rare sound sources that will give an immeasurable impact to enthusiasts! Moreover, all of them are ultra-high-quality soundboards that are on par with the official ones, and the ultimate compilation that is shocking for enthusiasts, including takes that have never even appeared in this world. The first song is a completely unreleased early mix version of “Five Years” that will shock Bowie fans around the world! The vocals are a different take from the official one. The piano sound at the beginning is also low, and it is a very vivid take before the strings are layered. Bowie’s free-form singing in the second half is also completely different from the final version, and the earnest vocals will move the hearts of all who listen. The second song “Waiting For The Man” is a completely new live take from the 1976 Nassau Coliseum performance, which was also included in the “Station To Station” bonus, and is also recorded in the highest sound quality. The following “Heroes” and “What In The World” are from the Earl’s Court performance on July 1, 1978, and this is also a line recording sound source that appears for the first time (this is a take that was not used in “Rarestonebowie”). “Space Oddity” performed at the Marquee Club in 1973, which is also familiar from “1980 Floor Show”, is recorded in the highest sound quality ever, which is incomparable to previous releases. “Spirits In The Night” is a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s first “Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J.”, and includes a super rare 1973 demo recording of “Rupert The Riley” and “Miss Peculiar”. It is of the highest quality (a take that was not used in the EMI/Rykodisc reissue project), was recorded from Peter Noone’s acetate version of “Life On Mars?” A surprising song. At the end, there’s a take from the ‘Black Tie White Noise’ session that suddenly jumps in time. This is an instrumental, but it’s the first time it’s appeared in history. 01.Five years (Unreleased 1972 Studio Version) / 02.Waiting For The Man (Nassau Coliseum 23rd March 1976) / 03.Heroes (Earl’s Court,London 1st July 1978) / 04.What In The World (Earl’s Court,London 1st July 1978) / 05.Space Oddity (Marquee Club,London October 1973) / 06.Spirits In The Night (Trident Studios,London 1973) / 07.Rupert The Riley (Unused Rykodisc Bonus Track) / 08.Miss Peculiar (Unused Rykodisc (Bonus Track) / 09.Life On Mars?
