Description
Bowie was breaking new ground with his ambitious work “EARTHLING” at the age of 50. The super best stereo sound board album is now available. Our store has a comprehensive archive of Bowie’s musical life, and has delivered many masterpiece albums in 1997 as well. Each of them shines brightly, but “NEW YORK MAN” is indispensable when introducing this work. This work can be called a sister edition of that masterpiece sound board album. If you’ve ever been moved by “NEW YORK MAN,” you’ve probably already made up your mind, but that’s not the case. Let’s explain step by step. [The highest peak soundboard in history completed by researchers] First of all, the main feature of this work is the full soundboard recording of “October 14, 1997 Port Chester Performance”. This show was not an ordinary concert, but a special performance for the MTV program “LIVE FROM THE 10 SPOT”. Moreover, Bowie was not originally the one to perform. It was originally supposed to be a live broadcast featuring THE ROLLING STONES, but Mick Jagger suddenly became ill at the last minute and the show was canceled. MTV, unable to easily cancel the live broadcast slot, offered Bowie instead, who happened to have a free schedule. It was a show that suddenly came to fruition. Although the program was successfully broadcast on television, this work is not even that program itself. In fact, before the live broadcast began, they performed three test songs at the venue: “The Supermen,” “Panic In Detroit,” and “Voyeur Of Utter Destruction (As Beauty).” Later, a professional shot video containing the test version was leaked from related sources, but this work is a full-length soundboard that also includes the test version. Moreover, this work updates its all-time high. In fact, it is the ultimate edition that has been carefully selected and mastered by a world-renowned authority on Bowie research. We have introduced leaked professional shots at our store, but the sound quality of this work is completely different. The previously released VHS master feels like it was “leaked”, with rough mixing and mastering, and poor sound quality. The drums are flat and thin, and each instrument and Bowie’s vocals are flat. Still, I was satisfied with the detail and direct feeling because it is the best sound board, but now that I know this work, I can no longer do it. The sound of this work is incomparably three-dimensional and deep. The thin core is thick enough to feel good, and even though it sounds cheap, it has a deep sound. What’s strange is that it’s not just made thicker with effects. Each instrument has a three-dimensional positional relationship, and the gaps are filled with a large amount of subtle sounds that you have never noticed before. For example, the keyboard of “The Supermen” at the beginning. When I listened back to it, I noticed that it was also on the leaked VHS, but the ensemble itself became three-dimensional, making the synths stand out. Up until now, I had felt that it was only supporting the guitar’s chord feel, but in reality, it was undulating along the song’s idea, and even enhancing the rhythm section’s sense of groove. It is a sound that conveys the details (without having to be conscious of it). Just to be sure, this detail should have been conveyed. Bowie at the time was in the middle of his main road world tour, and the ensemble of this work also followed the original show. Up until now, soundboards have been unable to convey the details due to the messy finish of live broadcasts. The sound of this work reminds us of that fact. The original source is probably the same leaked VHS, but in the hands of researchers it is amazing. It is a sound that allows you to realize not only the knowledge of the sound source but also the sense and depth of a person who has been considering Bowie’s musicality itself for many years. [Three reasons why it is a sister edition of a masterpiece] In fact, this is the reason why it is a sister edition of “NEW YORK MAN”. That masterpiece was a masterpiece that was created by a researcher maniac into the ultimate form of an unbroadcast, shelved soundboard, but although this work was broadcast, it is a leaked soundboard that includes unreleased parts. Moreover, it is the result of research done by the same maniac. Furthermore, the show drawn with that ultimate sound is also the reason for the sister edition. This masterpiece was born from the recording of “GQ MAN OF THE YEAR AWARDS” on “October 15, 1997”, but the recording date of this work was “October 14”, the previous day. That’s why their performance enthusiasm and potential are very similar. As mentioned above, they are in the middle of a world tour, which is also in the latter half. The ensemble has reached its peak, and their concentration combined with the tension of the live broadcast is amazing. On top of that, the set is totally different, so it’s irresistible. Most of the famous songs that were not performed in the “GQ MAN OF THE YEAR AWARDS” recording are listed as follows: “The Supermen”, “Utter Destruction of Voyeur”, which is the unreleased part at the beginning, and “Quicksand”, which is the part of the broadcast. ”, “Look Back In Anger”, “Scary Monsters”, “Fame” and “All The Young Dudes”. Seven of the 12 songs played that day were different from the next day. Although it is very similar to “NEW YORK MAN”, the songs are completely different…it is truly an ideal sequel/sister work. Following the main soundboard, this work also includes additional delicious bonus tracks. That is the radio program “LATE NIGHT WITH CONAN O’BRIEN” recorded on “April 10, 1997 New York”. A studio live performance of two acoustic songs, “Dead Man Walking” and “I’m Afraid of Americans,” featuring Reeves Gabrels and just the two of them. This is also a carefully selected and finest sound board by the same researcher. “Dead Man Walking” and the acoustic sound that can’t be heard in the main story are also delicious, but in fact, this is also a sister edition. “NEW YORK MAN” includes an “April 8th” acoustic session as a bonus, two days before the main bonus. It’s a sequel to “NEW YORK MAN” from top to bottom. It is an ultra-excellent sound board series that is a complete set of two. The Port Chester performance has gained fame as the only perfect professional shot on “EARTHLING TOUR 1997”. This is a masterpiece of a live album that has been refined by a Bowie specialist researcher and brought out its full potential. I have repeatedly referred to it as a “sequel to NEW YORK MAN,” but this is just for the sake of easy-to-understand explanation. This work alone is a superb soundboard that symbolizes “1997”, and if you hear this work, you will definitely want “NEW YORK MAN” as well.
