Description
This work was filmed in “New York in September 1995”. Let’s confirm the relationship with “OUTSIDE TOUR 1995” once again. “September 1995: Rehearsal” ←★Here★ September-October 1995: North America (27 performances) “November 1995: Rehearsal” 2CD November-December 1995: UK (16 performances) January-February 1996: Europe #1 (23 performances) June 1996: Japan (7 performances) June-July 1996: Europe #2 (20 performances) The first day of “OUTSIDE TOUR 1995” was September 14th. The rehearsal of this work is not confirmed in detail, but it is definitely September before that. Although this work is a rehearsal, it is quite different from 2CD. First of all, the audio. The 2CD was a soundboard that made me want to say that the best was too much, but this work was recorded with a microphone mounted on the camera. Of course, it is the best because it is a small studio without an audience, but the sound is quite different from the direct line connection. And the ensemble drawn by that sound is also different, and it is exactly like a “tour rehearsal”. There are songs that are played through, but there are also scenes where the phrases of the key are repeatedly confirmed. Rather than making eye contact with each other, the members are in the early stages of concentrating on their own instruments and equipment. The biggest point of this work is the “scenery” itself. It seems to have been filmed by someone involved, and you can witness a session with the whole band gathered in a small studio as a member. Bowie sings in everyday clothes such as a gray T-shirt and supervises each member, and the studio people are zoomed in with one camera at the center of him. In some places, it is skipped by editing. This zoom and editing are quite interesting. Usually, rehearsals are often shot at a fixed angle, but this work zooms in on the members as if they are playing around, moves them around with humor, provokes them as much as they can, and tilts the camera to make them look funny. It is clear that the photographer is having a lot of fun. Thanks to the camerawork, the feeling of “participation” in this work is really, really nice. The main press 2CD was a wonderful departure from the rehearsal, but this work is full of the “fun” that is unique to rehearsals. Bowie and the members laugh out loud after missing a beat. The cameraman is in high spirits as he points the camera at them. You can become a part of it and enjoy “Bowie behind the scenes”. Among the many Bowie videos, there is no other video that allows you to get so close to him… no, you can become a friend. More than a peek behind the scenes, this is the best video that feels like a “friend”. Complete Music Studios, New York 1995 (Best Quality)David Bowie 1. Andy Warhol 2. Nite Flights 3.
