Description
Introducing the best soundboard album from the masterpiece “STATION TO STATION” era. This work was recorded at “Rotterdam (Netherlands) performance on May 13, 1976”. The “ISOLAR 1976 TOUR” toured North America and Europe for a total of 64 performances in three and a half months from February 2nd to May 18th, 1976, but this work includes the 61st performance. This is a late stage show. Speaking of “Isolar 1976 Tour”, the Nassau performance has been a classic soundboard since the analog era, but this Rotterdam performance has also been known as a soundboard for fan clubs for a long time, and was popular because it could be listened to for a longer time than the Nassau performance. For that reason, there were some previous releases, but recently a master with a large number of songs was discovered. It includes “Life On Mars?”, “Five Years”, and “Panic In Detroit”, which were cut from most previous releases, and the master where you can listen to all the songs except “Queen Bitch”, which seems not to have been recorded, is becoming a hot topic overseas. It has become. However, this work is not a copy of that. Currently, what is becoming a hot topic overseas is the processed sound that has been ostentatiously equalized, but this time we succeeded in obtaining the original master through our own route. This work is a master quality version with plenty of natural sounds that will be released for the first time in the world. The Bowie researcher who provided the master also said, “The masters currently on the market have poor sound. In reality, they are better.I want people to know that.”In fact, the natural sound is truly wonderful. . Naturally, the existing ones are much fresher than the masters that are currently being talked about, and the clarity is also different. There is no muffled feeling at all, and the sound that is directly connected to the desk seems to shine brightly. The original master had some pitch and stereo distortions, so we couldn’t leave it untouched, but we paid close attention to the mastering and tried to recreate the natural sound that the original master had. Finished with care for the sound. The sound of this work, which was completed in this way, has an even more vivid “ear feeling” that can only be achieved with a direct-to-the-desk sound board. Although it was a zero distance feeling from the previous release, the natural feeling of this work jumps even further to the time and closely adheres to Bowie. It’s a rough mix to call it “official grade”, but that’s why the rawness is the best, the stereo feeling of panning left and right, and the rawness of Bowie’s singing voice flowing into your ears! Just as I thought he was gently whispering in my ear, a passionate scream jumped into my head. When introducing a sound board that connects directly to a desk, I sometimes write, “It’s like putting a plug in your ear,” but with this product, it feels like you’re singing as if you were the microphone. The splendor of the “STATION TO STATION” era is depicted with that quality. The singing voice of the era when I admired soul is the best throughout the album, but the 11-minute long “Panic In Detroit” is especially worth listening to. The improvisation that has been the highlight of the “ISOLAR 1976 TOUR” is extremely thrilling. Not only is the intro dynamic, but the climax from the middle to the end is amazing. Bowie finished his tour five days after this show and moved to Berlin. From September, he will begin the production of “LOW”, and the scat that can be said to be “a conclusion” that he reached just before entering the so-called “Berlin era” will explode in your ears. Although there is no missing recording of “Queen Bitch”, this is a book where you can fully enjoy the masterpiece “STATION TO STATION” era with a sound board connected directly to the table. While admiring black music, Bowie at the time was aware of his own limitations and was pursuing “black music that he could make.” And, having already finished the tour in Germany, this was the final stage of the European tour, with “Berlin” still lit up in my heart. This is a live album that allows you to get closest to the singing voices of that era, as if they were being played back in your head. Please enjoy the master quality that exceeds all previous releases. Live at the Ahoy, Rotterdam, The Netherlands 13th May 1976 STEREO SBD(from Original Masters) Disc 1 (55:49) 1.
