Description

2004 Reality Tour A title will be released that contains a complete recording of the Minneapolis performance on April 11, 2004, with a mix of IEM soundboard and audience sound. Bowie has been touring since his debut, but this Reality Tour, which was held from 2003 to 2004 to accompany the album “Reality,” is currently his last tour. Since then, he has not toured for over 10 years, and even turned down an offer to perform at the opening ceremony of the London Olympics, so Bowie has entered a semi-retired state and passed away, and as a result, this tour is his last. It is unclear whether Bowie himself was aware that this was his last Reality Tour, but it counted 113 performances, making it the largest tour he has ever done, excluding the Ziggy era, when touring was the main focus. This Minneapolis performance is the final leg of the North American tour, on a tour that traveled around the world, to Europe, North America, Australia, Asia including Japan, and then back to America. As a result, this was the last time that American fans saw Bowie. In terms of content, the long introduction at the opening is completely recorded. The set list is a wide range of songs, from his representative songs from his long career to new songs at the time, and the selection of songs has a feel of the best of Bowie. A strong white light is projected from the front of the stage, and Bowie’s silhouette appears there. The concert begins with “Lovely Rebel”. The famous riff elicits a huge cheer, and a break that is not in the original is set, and Bowie immediately begins to sing. From there, the world of Bowie completely envelops the entire venue. “All the Young Guys” is a masterpiece that makes the venue sing along. The band is very technical and the performance is tight, and thanks to the excellent recording, you can hear this masterpiece unfold with a fresh and beautiful tone. For Japanese fans, this is probably the part that reminds them of the audience rippling at the Budokan. What is unique about this tour is that the arrangements were not changed, and the songs from past and present were performed almost exactly as they were in the original. Although it has been more than 30 years since “The Man Who Sold the World” was released, it is rare for Bowie, who arranges songs with the same arrangement and singing style as back then, to adopt the latest trends. The sound quality is 90% IEM soundboard sound source and 10% audience, so it can be said to be almost a soundboard sound source. When you think of IEM, you may imagine a thin soundboard with noise, but as you can hear from the sample, the sound quality is comparable to a heavy, solid soundboard, and the quality is so high that you would not notice it unless you were told. This title is a complete recording of the Minneapolis performance on April 11, 2004 from Bowie’s final tour, the Reality Tour, on a soundboard. The set list varies slightly depending on the day, and this work will also be one of the valuable records. Complete recording of the Minneapolis performance on April 11, 2004.
