Description
This is a complete recording of the performance at the Orpheum Theater in Boston on October 1st, midway through the US tour accompanying the 1997 Earthling world tour, which boldly introduced drum and bass and caused controversy, using soundboard recordings from the broadcast master. First, the backing band is a familiar quartet from the second half of the OUTSIDE TOUR, including guitarist Reeves Gabriel, who showed an overwhelming presence with his versatile playing, and they performed a well-coordinated band performance throughout the entire album, honed by their long tour. The stimulating sound, which boldly introduced electronics, which became a hot topic, is abundant in the numbers from Earthling, such as I’m Afraid Of Americans, Looking For Satellites, which have been frequently played since then, and the spacey Little Wonder, which can be said to be the representative song of the album. The set list, which mixed new and old songs, starts with the R&R number Queen Bitch, which follows the acoustic Quicksand, and ends with White Light, White Heat and Moonage Daydream, making the entire set a must-listen.
