Description

“THE HOURS… TOUR 1999” is Bowie’s shortest bubble tour in history, which ended after only 9 performances. The best soundboard album is now available. There are two live performances included in this work. Mainly the full soundboard of “December 2, 1999 London Astoria Performance”, and also includes a bonus recording of “October 25 BBC Studio Live” in London. Speaking of the “hours…” era, “VH1 STORYTELLERS”, which has been made official, is at the top of the list, as well as “KIT KAT KLUB 1999,” which was recently revived with the highest quality in history, and is also very popular. Including those, let’s first imagine the position of the main London performance.・August 23rd: New York “VH1 STORYTELLERS”《“hours…” released on September 21st》・October 9th-17th: Europe #1 (4 performances)・November 19th: New York “KIT KAT KLUB 1999” ”・December 2nd-7th: Europe #2 (3 performances) ←★Here★ Above, 9 performances in total. Since the guitar was changed from Reeves Gabriels to Paige Hamilton of HELMET after the release of the album, the main tour was a net of 8 performances. It was a showcase gig in almost every country, but the London Astoria performance of this work was the first day of “Europe #2”. This show was officially recorded with a view to making it into a work, and professional shot footage was leaked from the Masterport label in the early 2000s. A shock ran through enthusiasts all over the world. This work is a live album made from the sound board audio. That said, it’s not just a matter of dropping the audio. At our store, we have been delivering the highest-ever soundboard record under the supervision of a world-renowned authority on Bowie research, and this work is also the latest edition. Since the original leaked soundboard was the original master directly from the people involved, it is not “completely different”, but with precise transfer and exquisite mastering by the researcher himself, it has exceeded the highest peak. What’s most amazing is the depth. The leaked soundboard itself was the best that could be expected from Ultimate Gene, but because it was still in the work stage, the mix was rough and the sound was a little flat. Although the mix cannot be changed in this work, the three-dimensional feel has been greatly increased by mastering. The silent parts with strong hiss depict a jet-black abyss, and the performance sound stands out clearly, down to the finest details. Of course, the sense backed by the deep understanding and knowledge of sound sources unique to researchers does not blindly increase sound pressure, and the sound is only natural. The modest synths and the intimate singing voice, which was said to be “exceptional in 1999,” are both very realistic and even exude elegance. If I were to cite this sense of upgrade, it would be the recently released “BOWIE TO THE RESCUE: PORT CHESTER 1997,” which received great acclaim. The tour was different, but although it was a familiar sound board, it was a definitive board that was reborn to a different level of listening. This work is also the 1999 version by the same researcher as that masterpiece. The show drawn with such a sound is more pleasing than anything because it is long. The aforementioned “VH1 STORYTELLERS” and “KIT KAT KLUB 1999” were also great, but they were short in accordance with the broadcast time frame and were far from full shows. On the other hand, this work is wonderful in its uncut appearance, which is unique to the leaked master. They played all the songs that were heard on “KIT KAT KLUB 1999” with the same members, and six more songs “Word On A Wing”, “Ashes To Ashes”, “Drive-In Saturday”, “Rebel Rebel”, “Repetition” and “Cracked”. Actor” is added. You can thoroughly enjoy the full show, which lasts about 90 minutes, on the official recording of the best soundboard. In addition to such a main story, we have additionally recorded a super exquisite sound board. This is a BBC broadcast recorded on the aforementioned “October 25, 1999 London”. This day’s recording was broadcast on BBC RADIO 1 on the same day, and also on BBC RADIO 2 at a later date. This work includes both of them with the best master supervised by researchers. This is also an official super-superb sound board with no questions asked. Moreover, these two types not only have different broadcast dates, but also different content. RADIO 1’s main broadcast featured studio live performances of five songs: “Survive,” “Drive-In Saturday,” “Something In The Air,” “Can’t Help Thinking About Me,” and “Repetition,” but RADIO 2 will broadcast them at a later date. “China Girl” has also been released. Leaked soundboard for official works and official BBC studio live. This is the ultimate edition of two sound sources representative of the “hours…” era, polished from a researcher’s deep perspective. There is no better way to experience the full show of the short “Hours Tour 1999” than this. The Astoria Theatre, London, UK 2nd December 1999 SBD(UPGRADE) Disc 1 (70:47) 1. Life On Mars? 2.
