Description

From Bowie’s 1972 tour, the Royal Festival Hall performance in London on July 8th was recorded in high quality. From the opening greeting by the host to the SE before the show played in the venue, it is truly a complete recording. It is known that the set list of this tour varies depending on the time of year. On this day, the medley from “Hang On To Yourself” to “Ziggy Stardust” is the usual, but the third song is “Life On Mars”, and it is characterized by the inclusion of rare “Supermen”. What is even more interesting is that “Andy Warhol” and “Amsterdam” are played acoustically following the latter half of “Space Oddity”. And on this day, Lou Reed will jump in as a special guest. Perhaps for that reason, they are playing “I Feel Free”, “Waiting For The Man”, and “Sweet Jane”, which is also the title. Just having Lou Reed in this way makes it a special set list that is unlike any other concert. Moreover, even though it was recorded in 1972, the sound quality is very high, and with the special set list and rare numbers, this will be the title that represents this tour.
