Description
David Bowie was at the moment when he entered the Berlin era from the Seoul era. A live album containing that last show is now available. This work includes “May 18, 1976 Paris Performance”. This is the treasured audience recording. First, let’s look back at the overall flow of “ISOLAR 1976 TOUR”, also known as the Thin White Duke Tour. [“STATION TO STATION” released on January 23rd]・February 2nd-March 26th: North America (40 performances)・April 7th-17th: Europe #1 (8 performances)・April 24th- May 18th: Europe #2 (16 performances) ←★Here★《Production of “LOW” begins in September》 This is the outline of the 1976 tour. The Paris performance of this work is part of the world tour Chishu Raku. It was a concert just before the Berlin era. This work, which contains such a show, is a truly stunning vintage audience. Three types of masters have been confirmed for this show, but this work is considered the best among them. It has been digitized by Low Gene Master, and the authority on Bowie research who has supervised numerous masterpieces at our store has given it the stamp of approval, saying, “This is it!” In fact, the sound of this work is truly beautiful and fresh. What’s most wonderful is Bowie’s singing voice that reaches straight through the clear air. The core is clear, and the details are vivid, not just a single word in the lyrics, but even each grain of Ruluru sung with a curled tongue. In fact, the rhythm section sounds a little distant, but the vocals come forward. Of course, not only the singing voice stands out, but Tony Kaye’s rolling piano and Carlos Alomar & Stacey Haydon’s twin also beautifully solidify Bowie’s side. It is a strangely famous recording that has not been well known until now, but this is probably due to the recording circumstances of the tour. In fact, most of the famous recordings from this tour were from the “North American” tour, and the audience recording from the European tour was devastating. The only thing that shone among them was the sound board of the Dutch performance (you can enjoy it at our store’s “ROTTERDAM 1976”). This sound board is so wonderful that it hasn’t even gotten the attention of the audience…The sound of this work is so amazing that you can’t understand it unless you think about it. Of course, this work has also been meticulously mastered under the supervision of researchers, resulting in the highest quality unique to this work. What is depicted with such quality is the end of the Seoul era, just before stepping into the Berlin era. The set is very similar to the show that will be held 5 days after “ROTTERDAM 1976”, but it is great that you can listen to “Queen Bitch” which was also cut on that sound board. In fact, it was played at the Rotterdam performance, but this song was not recorded. The appearance of the only masterpiece that was missing in that masterpiece can be enjoyed in the performance 5 days later. And even more than that is the high tension that runs through the entire show. On the last day of the world tour, Bowie’s courage to not worry about tomorrow is on full display, and Bowie’s singing is also wonderful. The scat of “Panic in Detroit”, which is the highlight of this tour, is also sharp and allows you to listen to a great performance that lasts about 14 minutes. After this show, Bowie moved to Berlin. It was a major turning point in his life. This is a masterpiece of a live album where you can meet Bowie in that moment and feel his singing voice up close. One of the best recordings not only from the European tour but also from 1976. Live at Pavillon de Paris, Porte de Pantin, Paris, France 18th May 1976 TRULY AMAZING SOUND Disc 1 (70:11) 1.
